This is Don Quijote academy’s main offering, providing learners with 20 lessons every week, each designed with the intention of getting students actively involved every step of the way. Living and studying in Barcelona will form an integral part of your Spanish immersion experience, and taking 20 hours of classes per week is a fantastic way of taking control of your Spanish language development while also leaving yourself free time.
The approach used in the classroom is geared towards communication skills, and for that reason your teachers will encourage you to do a lot of speaking. This preference is supported by the course’s maximum class size of 12 participants, as it means you will find yourself in a situation where it’s easy to speak with your peers and teacher.
You will be placed in your Spanish level following an oral and written test that you will take the first day you arrive at the school.

Students who pursue the Intensive 20 Spanish Program are looking for a flexible program that allows them to experience a full linguistic immersion by giving them extra time to explore the city and culture.
Some students also like the added flexibility the reduced class hours give them because they can mold the program to their own needs by adding private classes or an internship program. Students particularly value having time to experience the culture and language both in and out of the classroom.
The students who prefer the Intensive 20 course are looking for a dynamic and interactive Spanish course with flexibility. There are 20 classes a week with a lot of free time for those who want to visit the city and discover new places.
Benefits
This program includes 20 weekly group classes which generally take place in the morning in small group classes with a maximum of 10 students and an average of 6 students. The classes are focused on oral expression and comprehension, as well as written communication and interaction, all of which are essential in learning a new language.
You will be placed in your correct Spanish level following an oral and written placement test that you will take the first day you arrive at the school. Every level starts every Monday. At the end of the program you will be handed a certificate documenting your progress, hours completed, and level of proficiency achieved.

This course combines the Spanish course Intensive 20 with 10 cooking classes per week.
The registration fee is valid for 1 year and is waived when the course takes place up to 12 months from the previous reservation.
Health Insurance (mandatory for students under 18): EUR 50 per week.
CANCELLATION GUARANTEE: EUR 75 per week.
Before and after arrival.
Allows students to cancel program for ANY reason (I.e., examination, work, illness, visa issues...). Does not apply to private apartments or hotels.

Changes to your confirmed booking (start dates, program, or
services) can be made up to 2 weeks before your arrival.
One change is free of charge. After the first change, each change
will be charged: EUR 100.
After arrival
Change of destination, school, program, or accommodation subject
to availability. Any difference in price will be charged to the student. Costs EUR 100.
Does not apply to summer camps. 2 weeks of advance notice is
required. Health Insurance (mandatory for students under 18): EUR 35 per week.
