What we dislike about the school
- Younger students should consider that the average age of students at this school is significantly higher than at most other schools.
Location: Don Quijote Alicante is located in the port city of Alicante, in Spain's Costa Blanca. The school is housed centrally, close to the port and just a 5-minute walk from Playa del Postiguet. There are many eateries, shops, and attractions close to the school, including sites of interest such as MACA (Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Alacant), the Catedral de Sant Nicolau de Bari d'Alacant, Santa Barbara Castle, the Mercat Central d'Alacant, El Carrer dels Bolets and much more.
Course selection: The Don Quijote schools supply a wide range of courses suitable for students of all levels. Whether you are a complete beginner on holiday or an experienced Spanish speaker, the school has something for you. In addition to General Spanish taught over several schedules and intensities, the school also supplies DELE/SIELE Exam Preparation, Gap Year Packages, Private tuition, Spanish + Flamenco and more.
Social and cultural: The central location of the school ensures that it is within walking distance of many of Alicante's sights of interest. The school also offers a regular activity and social plan for students to engage in should they wish to.
Accommodation: Don Quijote Alicante offers a range of Homestay and Shared Apartment facilities for students. Dependent on your choice, a meal plan can be arranged within Homestay. Long-stay discount rates are available to students in the Student Residence when their stay is for 6 months or longer.

Generally course material has to be purchased by the student. The costs of course material will be approximately 45 € per course level.
Comments about courses
Health Insurance (mandatory for students under 18 and for Internship Programs):
- EUR 25 per week: when visa is not needed.
- EUR 15 per week: for students who need a visa (between 14 and 35 years old, with a minimum stay of 3 months).
Changes: - Before arrival: Changes to your confirmed booking (start dates, program, or services) can be made up to 2 weeks before your arrival. Two changes is free of charge. After the 2nd change, each change will be charged: EUR 100.
- After arrival: Change of destination, school, program, or accommodation: EUR 100. Subject to availability. Any difference in price will be charged to the student. Does not apply to summer camps. 4 weeks of advance notice is required.
Cancellation Guarantee
Any cancellation before and after arrival: EUR 75 per week.
Allows students to cancel program for any reason (I.e., examination, work, illness, visa issues...). Does not apply to private apartments or hotels.
Class schedule: on your first day it'll be decided if your class takes place in the morning or in the afternoon. To 100% guarantee morning classes, there's a EUR 15 fee per week.

Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 49 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.
