Location: Embassy Junior Centre (EC) Brighton is located on the outskirts of the seaside city of Brighton, on the south coast of England. Housed within the University of Sussex, junior students receive a fantastic opportunity to reach their language goals whilst having an excellent time in and around Brighton. These Summer Camp programmes are packed with fun-filled activities, excursions and lessons plans, ensuring a unique experience for all students wishing to learn in a vibrant and inclusive environment.
Course selection: Course selection with Embassy Junior Centre (EC) Brighton is fantastic for Junior students, offering a fully immersive English Language Summer Camp experience, like no other. All courses are inclusive of 20 weekly lessons, afternoon and evening activities, several half-day trips and at least 1 full-day excursion per week, in addition to all meals and accommodation. Day trips can include trips to London, Canterbury and Windsor Castle, whilst half-day outings may take students to explore such exciting places as Brighton, Arundel Castle, Chichester and the historic town of Lewes.
School facilities: The facilities of the school are fantastic, offering everything a junior student may need to have a memorable time whilst reaching their language goals. The school has large spacious classrooms, many with interactive whiteboards, a large indoor sports hall, outdoor areas for activities and games, a mini supermarket, and several cafés, all on campus.
Accommodation: Accommodation is in residential shared apartment facilities, comes with 24-hour security and is available in single rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Each apartment has a shared lounge area. Each room comes with a wardrobe, desk and WIFI, so students can remain in contact with family, friends and guardians, whenever they feel necessary. Towels are not provided.

Known as ‘London by the sea’, Brighton is a multi-cultural city full of great beaches,
hip cafes and trendy shops. Our centre is located on the campus of the well-known University
of Sussex in Falmer, only a short bus or train journey from the city centre.
English programme
The classroom is at the heart of your Brighton Junior English Course. English lessons are student-centred and encourage the development of relevant language skills.

Activities and excursions
On-site activities are scheduled on weekdays in between lessons, with some half-day trips and full-day excursion at the weekends. All activities are designed to continue learning in a fun and enjoyable way, encouraging students to develop life skills and make new friends through sport, activities and socially interactive games.
- Sports: with a choice of football, mini Olympics, rounders, table tennis, volleyball and basketball.
- Daytime activities: for example scavenger hunts, drama workshops and photo quiz.
- Evening: activities such as karaoke, a talent show, and team games.
- Half-day trips: our students get to explore exciting places such as Arundel Castle, Chichester, the historic town of Lewes as well as local visits to Brighton with the Sea Life Centre.
- Full-day excursions to London: visit this exciting capital city and take a walking tour of central London, Westminster and visit the National Gallery.
- Full-day excursions to Canterbury: visit this UNESCO World Heritage city, one of the most visited in the UK. Admire the medieval buildings and enjoy the gothic architecture of Canterbury Cathedral.
- Full-day excursions to Windsor Castle: students get to explore the charming, historic market town of Windsor and visit Windsor Castle, home to the Queen of England.
Special note for 2024 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2024 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2023 many schools were fully booked during the holidays, and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2024 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.
