Covid-19 related security measures that are taken by F+U Academy of Languages
Our school has been open for classroom courses since 12 May 2020. The reopening fully complies with the Corona regulations of the regional government of Baden-Württemberg.
In line with these regulations we have developed an extensive safety and hygiene concept for the F+U Academy of Languages, which the FDSV Association has since forwarded to its members as an outstanding example.
The most important points are summarized here as six reasons why students at the F+U Academy of Languages can feel safe. We have been following official guidelines to the letter, in order to make sure that all students and staff members stay healthy.
* We have hand sanitizer at your disposal in the hallways and all student accommodation.
* In our spacious classrooms we can guarantee the mandatory 1.5 metres (5 ft) distance between you and your classmates.
* In the hallways, it is mandatory to wear a mask. All new students will receive a set of masks from us when they arrive.
* We guarantee vigorous cleaning and disinfection of tables and door handles multiple times a day. We also make a point of airing the classrooms regularly.
* To avoid crowds in the hallways, we have implemented staggered break times for all classes. We also offer on-demand in-person appointments with staff members for consultations, buying course books, picking up letters and so on.
* Last but not least, we have a wide selection of online courses available to meet the needs of learners who are still unable to travel or who would prefer to take classes from the comfort of their dormitories.

Yeon A: "School staff's were unfriendly. Sometimes you could hear a teacher being racist."
Wayne: "The teacher was good. I was assigned to B2 on the first day but it required too much German vocabulary for me. On the second and subsequent days, I was assigned to A2. That was appropriate for my needs. Some of the exercises in the two books made little sense to me."
Mariia: "Too many students per group, and the dynamics of the lessons is not very high. I'd recommend to separate teenagers and adult groups. Teenagers are cool, but they don't pay for their education themselves and don't really value the time. And, please, more exercises with speaking "
Wai Yu : "Overall it is an enjoyable experience to be in the C1 class of this institute, the administration staff is very helpful for arranging student activities and handling cases about accommodation.
For buying course materials, I think the school can provide book list for prospective students prior to beginning of the class, and the option of on loan or buying a new set should also be stated clearly. "

Svetlana : "Very high audibility. If the noise in the corridor becomes silent by night, then the external noise is 24 hours a day (especially terrible in the summer with the windows open !!!). The fact is that there is a railway station on one side of the campus (it is especially terrible at night in the summer!), And on the other, the Flixbus bus station.
