Location: Les ateliers FL Lyon is in the 1st arrondissement of Lyon, which is in the heart of the city. It is the hipster area of the city, with cobbled streets, impressive landmarks, boutique shops and quaint eateries. It is part of the Lyon music scene with a selection of vinyl stores to scroll through during the day and a lively nightlife with a variety of late-night clubs. Situated towards the south of this neighbourhood, the school is equal distance from the Rover Rhode and the River Saone
Public Transportation: The school is just three minutes by foot from the nearest metro station, Hôtel de Ville L. Pradel. This station has both the A and C services running through it, which both connect to various popular locations in the city. There are a large number of bus stops close to the school for routes that run all over the city, making it easy to navigate Lyon from Les ateliers FL Lyon.
Things to see in Lyon: What is referred to as the central point in Lyon is walkable in around five minutes. The main cluster of attractions are situated across the River Saone from France Les ateliers FL Lyon. To reach places such as La Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière and the Teatro Galo-Romano, students can hop on public transportation and be there in 18 minutes, or alternatively meander through the streets by foot in just over 20 minutes.

Les ateliers FL does not offer passive, sit back and learn French lessons. Group classes use collaborative learning, where the group members work together in their language acquisition, making for an engaging, interactive class.
NOTE: The 20 lesson program generally takes place in the mornings.

Everything is taken care of before the students' departure and on arrival in France:

COURSE:
French classes take place in the school based on 20 lessons per week. The objective is to improve the students’ French level and reach the required level to enter a university (confirmed B2).
The first part of the program will focus on improving the students’ French level and reach the required level to enter a university (confirmed B2). The students will then follow a specific exam preparation course to make sure they all pass their DELF/DALF exam required to enter a university in France.
The last part of the program will focus on preparing the students for French university and making sure they can follow a lecture course: - Discovery of the French university system
- Master the main academic expression techniques (abstract, essay, review, document synthesis, oral presentation)
- Master note-taking skills
- Master the oral presentation
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE
A dedicated team will help the students with the administrative procedures before their departure and on arrival in France.

EXAMS
TCF DAP: the students must take this exam before their registration in the university for a bachelor’s degree. The students can register with Les ateliers FL. Price: depending on the university.
DELF B2 or DALF C1: the students must take this exam before their registration in the university for a master’s degree. Les ateliers FL can help the students register for the exam.
OPTIONS
Accommodation: Les ateliers FL can organize the accommodation for the students for their entire stay in France. - Host family: Ideal solution to improve faster their French level and immerse into the French culture.
- Residence: Ideal solution for independent students. Fully-equipped studio.
Part-time Job: The students can work part-time (up to 20h per week) during their stay in France.
NOTE: CV and ALL official documents required for the application (school transcripts, diplomas, certificates, birth certificate, letters of recommendation... etc) must be translated into French.

Staying in a residence will enable you to enjoy your independence but also share experiences with other students from many different countries thanks to the different common areas available.
The school has selected a large choice of modern and fully equiped residences, easily accessible from the schools.
You can choose to stay in either a single or double room, a private or a double studio and some residence even offer hotel services. Whatever you feel like and whatever your budget, the school has the residence for you!

“The school is closed on bank holidays. In case Monday is a bank holiday the course will start on Tuesday. Private classes are recuperated or refunded. However the school can't make up for lessons that fall on bank holidays and they can't offer a refund. This is the standard policy applied by the majority of schools.
