What students liked about Genki Japanese and Culture School, Fukuoka
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They'll help you with anything and go out of their way to do so. Also, you get a free personal cup while you're there. You have a selection of beverages, microwave, DVD/Manga/bookselection you can rent or even keep (the books) for free. Also, you get flash cards, so you can learn all the vocab and Kanji quickly and, if your a woman, you get a personal alarm (not that it's really necessary but it's definitely reassuring).

Insider tips about what future students should not miss: Go around town at lunchtime to try all the delicious food (ramen, udon, ohagi, motsunabe) and just mingle with the Japanese, it's a unique experience. Don't forget to try the uncountable amount of sweets in Japan. The chocolat is quite delicious (and as a Swiss I have experience when it comes to good chocolate. ;)
Other comments: You can get a language exchange partner for free, if you ask at the school or mention it when you book the course. They'll find you a suitable Japanese exchange partner, so you really get to speak as much Japanese as possible.
In my opinion, teachers were very kind and high qualified. It was a pleasure for me to communicate with them. Also, students were very outgoing. It was really interesting to connect with people from other countries and learn something new about new different cultures.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss: Yeah, be very thorough while reading a map, it is easy to get lost if you are not careful. You should also ask for help with the way to the school and to where you live.
Other comments: It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced! A lovely school with amazing teachers and Mai-san that helped me a lot! I'm in a loss for words so the easiest way to explain my visit is that it was simply amazing (and for the younger generation: Epic and awesome!). Loved it!
I really enjoyed the lessons. They were really fun and engaging and the teachers were extremely helpful and friendly.

Other comments: I thoroughly enjoyed my time studying in Fukuoka. GenkiJACS helped me find great accomodation and my Japanese improved despite just being there for 3 short weeks. I can definitely say that I am more confident with Japanese conversation due to the ample practice that I had in the classes there.
It's like a second house where you come and learn so much. The teachers are very good and also very friendly.

Other comments: I had such an amazing time here. The teachers, the other students and the people from Fukuoka made that possible. I met a lot of people from all over the world and a lot of Japanese people. I will definitely comeback soon, because I liked it so much and I want to speak Japanese even better.
