This course offers a heavy emphasis on real-life skills and a full range of activities that you will find both useful and exciting.

You won't get far in Japan without being able to speak the language, but using the special techniques the school's teachers have developed, you'll be surprised how easy it is to learn to speak Japanese, and you'll be fluent before you know it!

The Standard Course uses interesting and modern materials and activities to focus on improving your Japanese speaking ability in a way that gives you the flexibility to adapt to new situations, until one day you won't even need a teacher anymore!

Small-group classes are given both inside and outside of the classroom - you will learn essential communication techniques in structured lessons with the teacher, then practice them in real-world situations

This course will form the basis of any study plan you choose to follow at GenkiJACS. It consists of ten 50-minute grammar classes per week, and ten 4-skill “application” classes, where you practice what you learned in communicative situations.

You can add any of their exciting modules or add-ons on top of this course for an even more intensive Japanese learning experience!

This course aims to give German students applying for the Bildungsurlaub a grounding in the basics of the Japanese language required for daily conversation when dealing with Japanese people, either in Japan or overseas. This special package combines specialized modules to give employees the required 31 hours per week of classes.

• Core Japanese course: 20 LESSONS / WEEK
  
  The main part of your course will be the Core Japanese Course, which consists of the following:
  
  
• Two grammar lessons every day
  
• Two language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) lessons every day
  
  The 10 grammar classes per week focus on the essential points of Japanese grammar, while the 10 language-skills classes teach students how to use the grammar they learnt in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
  
  The course also includes the following;
  
  
• Conversation module: 4 lessons / week
  These lessons allow students to use their abilities in everyday situations, becoming proficient in the communication aspect of the language.
  
  
• Private Lesson: 1 lesson / week
  During these sessions the students have an opportunity to cover topis that they need to brush-up on.
  
  
• Culture module: 5-6 lessons / week
  
  Japanese culture is such and integral and intrinsic part of really understanding the language. That's why the school also offers 5-6 additional hours of intensive cultural lessons to students (due to availability they might take place on Saturdays).

Are you interested in the traditional and modern Japanese cultural arts? This module can be added to your Japanese core course and offers you the opportunity to learn about the wonderful culture that Japan has nurtured for thousands of years, while learning the language, and the chance to participate in cultural arts with other Japanese people.

Students in this program must be in possession of a valid visa to stay in Japan for the study period. The school does not offer student visas.

Study at Genki Japanese School for 10 or 20 weeks, at a big discount from their standard Japanese tuition cost! This special course is one of their most popular items. This course can be taken by students from countries with visa waiver agreements with Japan or with a working holiday visa (check to have more information about visas for Japan). In most cases, no special visa is required to stay in Japan for up to 6 months. Start dates are also flexible!

This course is not available on a student visa.

Standard Japanese classes, followed by an extra hour of conversational practice every day to give you the confidence you need to survive in Japan.

Requires 150 hours of previous Japanese study.

Four extra classes each week of conversational Japanese focus on some of the interesting aspects of conversational Japanese that it can be hard to cover in the standard classes, such as slang, dialects, specialized vocabulary, and more.

The Japanese Plus Conversation course uses interesting and modern materials and activities to focus on improving your Japanese speaking ability in a way that gives you the flexibility to adapt to new situations.

Small-group classes are given both inside and outside of the classroom - you will learn essential communication techniques in structured lessons with the teacher, then practice them in real-world situations, such as:

• Calling a movie theater to ask for showtimes
  
• Ordering delivery sushi
  
• Calling a restaurant to make reservations
  
• Giving a questionnaire to people in the park
  
• Asking for directions at the train station
  
• Buying electronics
  

Study 20 lessons of Japanese per week, 4 a day Monday to Friday. Enjoy 3 “experience classes“ each Saturday. Those classes include activities like tea ceremony, Japanese pottery, manga drawing, cosplay courses and more! Other activities are arranged daily on weekdays to make your stay unforgettable.

This Summer Program includes half-board accommodation (breakfast & dinners) and both airport pickup and drop off.
