What we like about the school

The average age outside summer is 3 years higher than in summer.
Location: Toronto is a vibrant city with lots to offer including panoramic views from the CN Tower and the huge 161 acre High Park where students can go for a hike or partake in other sporting activities. With this in mind, it is no wonder that Hansa Language Centre chose this city for its language school location. The school is found in the Downtown part of Toronto only a small walk away from the subway stop Edlington, which is well connected to all areas of the city. Surrounding the school are restaurants of all varieties, bars and shopping options.
Course structure: The size of the school is impressive, with 55 classrooms and an average class size of 9 students, boasting 300 lessons available every day. Along with a number of immersive courses in English including General Language courses, exam courses in both IELTS and TOEFL and private classes, Hansa Language Centre also offers a Foreign Language course in a variety of different languages including French, Spanish, German and Mandarin. The General English programme from Hansa Language Centre has its students work on all the aspects of English study that you would expect from a course with a general approach: grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and plenty of conversation practice. The school takes pride in being able to offer small class sizes, which has the benefit of promoting better communication between teachers and all students.
These classes take place at the Yonge Street campus, on a weekly commitment of 20 hours per week. All participants are assigned to a group that most closely represents their current English level, but can later be changed depending on your progress and other factors. New students can start on practically any Monday of the year, so you’ll be able to jump in whenever you want.

The school does more than just familiarize students with exam questions and test-taking strategies; they break the exam down into simple steps, starting with the very basics of the English language, and build on this knowledge each day. All students who successfully complete Hansa’s IELTS Preparation Program should be able to obtain a score of 6.5 or greater in all four skills of the official exam. If they are unable to achieve this score, they are welcome to take the course again for half the price. For best results, the school recommends that students take their official IELTS exam immediately after completing the course.
