At the Irish College of English, we offer our International Junior Summer Camp with options including homestay at our schools in Malahide in Dublin, or residential at our schools in Clongowes and Glenstal.
The Classic Programme is the school's flagship English summer camp and attracts the greatest number of students. It is based on a strong academic foundation where progression is the focus.
Students attending a Junior Camp may have a lot of unsupervised time. Parents should instruct students as to their limitations during free time (Evenings, Sundays, going to and from school, break times, etc) when they are not attending the organised lessons or activities. The school has a dedicated 24/7 emergency number for each of their camps.
The juniors with homestay can either walk to school or are a very short bus journey away in surrounding neighbourhoods. For the first day the host family usually show them how to get to school by walking or bus. As students have a travel pass with most programmes they can also take a local bus for a few stops if they prefer not to walk.
