Liked
The school was well organised, complaints were dealt with immediately! Some teachers were really good and were able to pull the class along.
Disliked
I can only compare this with EF in Miami, where, for example, a meeting was organised once a week in a location, with games and music, so that the different age groups could get together, which was definitely lacking here, because the sports programme is not everyone's cup of tea. A canteen was also missing for cheap food, everyone is hungry and willing to pay for it, then you also have better contact with each other. Endless queues at the lift in the morning meant that students were always late. Pupils who sleep in class have to be sent home by the teacher, these are usually very young people who are probably paid for by their parents. Some teachers lacked dynamism, which didn't exist in Miami. Listening was done in groups here, whereas in Miami I had lessons on my own at the PC. Group work was initiated here, but that makes no sense at all, because my classmates understand me when we talk at school, but the sentence structure and grammar are completely wrong, very bad. Too cold, here and there, but here the air conditioning was very loud in some rooms. When pupils and teachers talk quietly, it's not possible. I then complained and this was immediately put into practice.

Questions and answers about ILSC Language School

  • One of the most important parts of the Pathway programme is that we have agreements with more than 200 universities and colleges (in Australia, Canada and the US) that then accept the certificate as an alternative to IELTS/TOEFL. In this case, someone who is pursuing a University in the Netherlands, English for Academic Purposes (EAP) would be a good option.
Simon Gooch, Regional Sales Director, EMEA & South Asia from ILSC Language School, Sydney - Jan 10, 2023
  • According to the guidelines for minors, the minimum age is 16 years. This student is too young for our adult curriculum. Although we understand that the mother is also in school, we still have a duty of care and she is still too young.
Ram Chind, Registrations from ILSC Greystone (AUS) - Jan 31, 2024
