School Ethos: Influent Turku has fully immersive Finnish programmes that allow students to create their own unique learning experience, whilst living and studying with a qualified Finnish teacher. Students choose the style of course that best matches their learning style. You can add a leisure activity in Turku to the programme, or even personalise your course converting it to a Business Finnish programme or Exam Preparation course, so that your entire programme is moulded according to your language learning expectations.
Course Options: Influent programmes come in packages of 10 hours, 15 hours, 20 hours, 25 hours or 30 hours of one-to-one Finnish lessons per week. The choice is up to you and really depends on how quickly you want to learn, and how many hours a day you wish to devote to studying. Adding activities to your Finnish course gives you a chance to remain active in your target language ( Sports or Excursions options) and or to get to know Turku and the surrounding area through participating in local Activities, Cultural Visits, and or Excursions with your teacher or an adult member of their household.
Accommodation: Influent programmes in Turku include accommodation at the house of the teacher. Everything around you is done in Finnish as you interact with your teacher and the other members of their household for the length of your stay. You take all your meals with your teacher and can use the time to practise your Finnish skills in an informal setting.
Special Options: Influent Finland can provide students with the opportunity to participate in activities that are very specific to the chosen location, things which you might not have experienced otherwise. Influent also offers programmes where the main emphasis is Lifestyle and shared experiences/activities with your host, as opposed to formal language lessons.
Extras & Special Needs: Influent programmes can offer a number of extras which can be added to your stay to make your experience more comfortable. Students can select a private bathroom, or a superior homestay. Students with special needs or diet requirements only have to make these known when registering and Influent will ensure that your teacher. Influent also offers young students the possibility of a home-away-from-home during Academic Holidays, when going back to their home country isn’t an option.
