What we dislike about the school
  • Younger students should consider that the average age of students at this school is significantly higher than at most other schools.

Location: InterBA Spanish Institute Buenos Aires is located in the bustling metropolis and capital city of Argentina, Buenos Aires. The school is housed in the Recoleta neighbourhood right in the centre of Buenos Aires. It is a stone's throw away from restaurants, pubs, and the famous 9 de Julio Avenue. The Recoleta neighbourhood is ripe with activities and cultural sites for students to visit. Such attractions within walking distance of the school include the Centro Cultural Recoleta, the Plaza República del Paraguay, Plaza Mitre, the National Museum of Bellas Artes, and the National Library Mariano Moreno.

Getting around: The school is in an area that offers great access to public transport networks. The closest bus stop to the school is within a 2-minute walk of the school's front doors. Ezeiza International Airport is around a 90- minute journey from the school via bus.

Social and cultural: The school views social interaction and cultural awareness as important to students learning of the Spanish language. They regularly gather with students in the afternoon and go to the many parks in the Recoleta area of the city, where students and teachers alike can sit and enjoy having the traditional argentine infusion, mate, or organise soccer matches and practise sports. In November and December, polo matches are often part of the social programme. The school also organises visits to the 3 or 4 most interesting neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires and visits the sightseeing in them.

I am Hagen Javier from the USA. In 6 weeks I not only learned how to speak Spanish very well, I learned how to formulate my sentences correctly to build upon my time around Spanish speakers. Very well organized, and the excursions every week are a great way to know the city and to know other people. I was the only student in my class since I came in the middle of winter, but the quality of learning was very high.
Disliked
Nothing, I loved it all
Insider tip: Come in summer time in Argentina. November-March. Winter was fun too to see another side of the city.

Great school. Super personalised lessons. The teachers sees what the students need and tailors the programme to suit them. I also recommend an immersion programme with afternoon walks. This is a unique programme in Buenos Aires.

The teaching style was very good. I felt that my teacher was of very high quality and structured the 3-hour class without using textbooks so that I would not get bored.
Disliked
It was inconvenient that I could not pay the balance of tuition to the school with a credit card. I had USD cash so I could pay.

Very well equipped, prepared and organised, very competent, responsive to individual wishes, overall very professional.
Disliked
If you want to have a bigger learning group for the purpose of joint activities, you should come during the main travel times. Also, the LanguageCourse.net WhatsApp group is hardly used during off-peak times (due to lack of participants). However, InterBA itself has organised very nice activities.

Quality of teaching / language progress: I was the only student of Ludmila so I had a private course. I didn’t get to meet other students but I progressed a lot in Spanish and enjoyed very much my classes with Ludmila. She is charming and a wonderful teacher.

InterBA Spanish Institute

“We take in consideration the needs of every student and we teach the essential Spanish skills for an effective learning of the language. We want our students to enjoy the lessons and have fun during them. We usually encourage our students to participate and communicate during classes and also while being with the host family or other mates in the shared apartment, both accommodation options that we offer. Moreover, we have many years experience in teaching Spanish. :)”
