Location: International House - London Institute is located in Uruguay's capital and largest city, Montevideo. Housed in Montevideo's Pocitos district, the school is surrounded by local shops, eateries and is within a 10-minute walk of the beautiful Pocitos beach, coastline, and all of its attractions. The wonderful large green space of Park Jose Enrique Rodó is a short 20-minute walk from the school's front doors, ensuring students have beaches as well as green spaces, to enjoy during their time in the city.

School facilities: With over 40 years of teaching experience, International House - London Institute has been teaching Spanish as a foreign language to the highest of standards for many years. The facilities of the school are excellent, including a cafeteria, computer lab, free after-class access to language learning software, a lounge area, a garden and a student support desk for any questions or queries that may arise. All classrooms are equipped with heating and ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment.

Course selection: Course selection includes something for students of all levels, with programmes in General Spanish, Spanish for Seniors 50+, Business and Professional Development, available all year round. International House - London Institute also offers courses to learn Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese.

Accommodation: Accommodation is readily available through the school in local Homestay accommodation, with a variety of meal plan choices on hand.

Other comments It would be essential if the school checked the host family personally. I was in a vegetarian family! And in Uruguay! My host father had terminal cancer and is dying. You can imagine, what kind of dramatic scenes happened in the family and I was in the middle of it.
