Location: International House Young Learners Centre Cork is a summer junior language centre located in the unique Irish city of Cork. Housed with the University College Cork, students will become acquainted with the second-largest city in Ireland whilst interacting with their international peers and improving their English skills. The university campus is around a 15-minute walk from Cork city centre.
Arrivals and departures: The school campus is around a 15-minute taxi or a 60-minute journey via public transport from Cork Airport.
Course selection: These junior summer programmes are inclusive of tuition, accommodation (full-board), activities and excursions.
Each programme includes 15 hours of English tuition per week, which can be requested as General English or Exam Preparation for the PET or FCE Cambridge exams.
Social and cultural:These junior programmes are full of regular activities and several excursions.
Afternoon and evening activities may include quiz nights, Irish dancing, sports, guided tours of local universities, movie nights, and more.
Excursions can include trips to Crawford Art Gallery, Blamey Castle and Cork City Centre.
Accommodation: Accommodation within the full summer programmes can be in homestay with local families or in residence. En-suite bathroom options may be available within the residence. Additional costs apply.
School facilities: The school campus provides modern classrooms, a restaurant, sporting facilities and free WIFI.

In 2024 many schools were fully booked during the holidays, and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2025 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.
