Location: ISK - Internationale Sprachkurse is on the West of the river in the old town. It is well situated within its neighbourhood and close to all the attractions of the old town. Salzburg is the birthplace of Mozart and his original house, now a museum depicting his early life, is 10 minutes from the school entrance. On the way you will pass Mozartplatz, a square dedicated to him and with a statue erected in his honour. There are a number of historical buildings to be found in the old town including the Hohensalzburg Fortress which stands on the top of a hill overlooking the city, the Salzburg Cathedral and St Peter’s Abbey, a benedict monastery. All of these are close to the school and there are ample eateries, bars, shops and supermarkets around for students to frequent during their stay. On the other side of the river, in the more modern quarter you can find the Mirabell Palace, under 20 minute walk from ISK - Internationale Sprachkurse or for those wanting to use public transport there are regular buses close to the school which take you there in 10 minutes. The school is set in a historical building with facilities that aid students to learn German in a safe and welcoming environment.
Information about the city: Right on the border between Germany and Austria, on the Austrian side, lies the city of Salzburg. This attractive little Austrian city is known for its charm and beauty, with views stretching to the Eastern Alps. The history of the city and the modern trend that has reached it are geographically divided by the Salzach River, with the old town on the Westside and the more contemporary buildings on the East.
Structure of courses: The school welcomes students during the summer months to get the most of what the city has to offer. The course is available as lessons only or students can opt for a package programme. The course is for 20 lessons of German per week and students are in very capable hands with the teachers all having degrees in teaching German as a foreign language. Those wanting to choose the package programme will benefit from the 20 lessons of German each week as well as staying with a local family to really immerse themselves in the language and continue their practice outside the classroom. Furthermore there are weekly cultural excursions, 2 on the weekdays and 1 on Saturday to explore the surrounding area with added support of the school staff to act as a guide and mentor during your stay. For students at a more advanced level, classes will take place at the University of Salzburg, which is 20 minutes outside the city centre. The school is well equipped to provide students with a full experience during their stay and leaving having improved their level of the German language.

School's reply: Dear Pieter. Thank you for your comment - we are very happy you liked the school so much. About your comment on your accommodation I would like to say the following: We offered to change your accommodation immediately when you complained that you did not like it there, as is our general policy. We even gave you a new address, and all you would have had to do was to pack your bag and move (just a couple of metro stations). However, you changed your mind, decided to stay where you were, and affirmed the booking office that you were actually fine with the place after all.
