This Semi-Intensive English course consists of the General English course combined with 7 lessons of online teacher-led study sessions totalling 27 lessons per week. Kaplan Vancouver offers an all-purpose General English course, intended to develop all of the main skills involved in learning a second language (reading, speaking, writing, vocabulary, conversation, pronunciation).

To make sure that you feel comfortable yet appropriately challenged, Kaplan asks participants to complete an online placement test to determine which group would be best to work in. Many schools only perform one of these tests, but Kaplan likes to conduct a new test every five weeks, to measure your progress and ensure that you’re in the ideal environment at all times.
