Location: The Harvard Square school in Boston is a stone's throw from Harvard University and in the quaint neighbourhood of Cambridge. This is to the west of the city, and across the Charles River from the city centre. The school is well located within Cambridge, and there are lots of eateries and shops in the vicinity.
Getting around: The Cambridge suburb of Boston is very walkable. The school is a short walk from the Harvard transit station, which has a direct line running to Boston Centre in around 20 minutes. There is a subway service and numerous bus routes from this station.
Local attractions: A lot of the main features are found in the city centre, including the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston Common and The Institute of Contemporary Art. Another pocket of key attractions in the city is around Fenway Park. Also in this area is the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. There is no direct route here, and it takes around 45 minutes by bus or subway. Cambridge itself has lots to see and do. There is the Harvard Stadium, Cambridge Common and lots of interesting art galleries and museums to visit.
Course structure: At the school, there are general English lessons, exam preparation courses for the TOEFL and Cambridge Exam, private and semi-private packages, long-term programmes and a business course.
School trips: The school organises local trips for its students including whale watching, boat trips and social evening events. There are also weekend trips to nearby cities including Washington DC and New York.
