The school

- Students’ temperature will be checked every day when entering the school premises.
- At the school entrances, students will be asked to disinfect their hands with a sanitizer.
- The antibacterial gel will be made available in the school area: at entrances, reception, toilets etc.
- Our students need to bring their personal face masks and wear them in the school’s public areas at all times. In classrooms, students may take off their mask while seated (if not required differently).
- The school staff will be wearing masks when in contact with students. Teachers are allowed to not wear it during their lessons respecting the safety distance (1.5 metres) guideline.
- Frequent aeration will be taking place so that air conditioning can be enhanced with regular input of fresh air
- The school will be intensively cleaned and disinfected every day. Certain areas such as toilets, doorknobs, coffee machine, water faucets, card payment terminals.... will be cleaned and disinfected several times per day.
- Disposable towels, disposable cups etc. will be used.
- The school will be operating on reduced hours.
-Please keep a safe distance when meeting with school staff but try opting for resolving issues by email or phone.

The lessons
-Each group class will have 2-3 students in order to respect a minimum distance of 1.5 metres.
-The weekly schedule might be adapted if needed and starting and break times can be changed to ensure students have minimum contact with each other in the corridors or in the common areas of the school at the same time.
-Students must arrive on time for their class, neither too early nor too late.
-Our waiting area (students lounge) will be closed in order to prevent unnecessary contacts.
-No newspapers or books will be made available to the public.

Extracurricular activities
-The weekly activity program will still be organized in reduced groups focusing mainly on online or open-air activities.

Accommodation
-Host families will follow all government guidelines on social distancing and will ensure their apartments common areas are maintained to a high degree of cleanliness.
-1 student per 1 host family ratio is maintained.
-For private apartment accommodation, careful cleaning will be done once a week upon students request (more often for an additional fee).

Health care
-Students need to let us know straight away if they feel unwell.
-In the case of positive COVID-19 testing, the school will give the student all the support needed. Booked face-to-face classes will be transferred online.
-Access to school can be denied to anyone that shows the Covid-19 associated symptoms: cough, sore throat, respiratory insufficiency, fever, feeling of fever, muscle aches, sudden loss of smell and/or taste, gastrointestinal symptoms, conjunctivitis, colds.

Entry regime

Depending on the number of active Covid-19 cases foreign countries have been divided into “Green Zone” (less than 40 cases per 100,000 population) and “Red Zone” (more than 40 cases per 100,000 population).
Citizens arriving from "Green Zone" countries will not be required to undergo self-isolation. All such citizens could enter the country only if they have Health Insurance Certificate covering their potential COVID-19 treatment and observation.

The insurance policy must be issued by a company registered in Ukraine or a foreign insurance company that has a representative office in Ukraine or a contractual relationship with an insurance company partner in Ukraine.

Citizens from “Red Zone” countries who entered the territory of Ukraine and showed a negative test result for COVID-19 using the PCR method after crossing the state border do not need observation or self-isolation. The insurance policy must cover the costs associated with the treatment of COVID-19, observation and the entire duration of stay in Ukraine.

The Student is responsible to check entry regime to Ukraine and possible quarantine requirements upon return to the home country.

The student is responsible for purchasing insurance required to stay in Ukraine.

If a 14-day quarantine on arrival is required by the Ukrainian government, it should be organized at the student’s own expense. Only individual online lessons can be offered during such quarantine.

Covid No Responsibility
The School has taken all the necessary measures in terms of health safety in accordance with the Ukrainian Health Ministry recommendations. However, students must be aware that a risk of contamination during their stay cannot be excluded. Neither NovaMova, its staff and teachers, nor its host families or accommodation options and any other related parties will be held responsible, in any jurisdiction, in case of contamination.

Possible transition to online tuition
In case the School would be forced to close according to requirements of the Ukrainian Government, the school reserves the right to offer online courses instead of face-to-face courses. The student has the right to continue the course online or receive a credit note for unused course/accommodation services to be used within 24 calendar months without any possible request for refund.
