Location: Lingua IT is located in the magnificent city of Verona, in northwestern Italy. The setting of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Verona is steeped in wonderful architecture, breathtaking views and much romanticism. Based in the Volpini-Jenna Palazzo, a historic palace that was built in the renaissance and refurbished in the 18th century, students have a fantastic opportunity to experience the city and its wonders from one of the historic centre's most beautiful buildings. Within a 5-minute walk of both Romeo and Juliet's houses, as well as attractions such as Piazza Dei Signori and the Piazza Delle Erbe, students could not have a better location for enjoying Verona to its fullest.
School facilities: The facilities of Lingua IT are excellent, with a modern and welcoming environment, allowing students to learn Italian in comfort. Facilities include a lounge area, library, movie room, cafeteria and a student support desk to help with any questions or queries that may arise. All classrooms have heating, air conditioning and ample natural light to create the optimal working environment.
Social and Cultural: Guided tours of Verona are given regularly and should not be missed. Weekend excursions to nearby artistic centres such as Venice, Parma and Trento are also very popular.

This course includes language lessons and a guided tour in Verona with an art history professor.
Classes in all Standard Language Courses are held every morning from 9.00 to 12.40 Monday to Friday for 4 50 minute lessons and 20 minute break. All students should complete an on line entrance test to evaluate their competence and ascertain which course level is most appropriate for them. The school usually run 4 levels each month. Included in all Standard Language Courses are the Tuesday-afternoon guided tours of Verona where an Art History teacher accompanies students around different parts of the city, each week focusing on a different aspect of Verona's art, architecture and history.
In the afternoons LINGUA IT offers a range of extra-curricular Cultural Courses (art history, Italian Literature, Italian history), Guided Tours and Activities that, in conjunction with language classes, expose students to all facets of Italian life, language and culture.
The schools afternoon activity programme is:
- TUESDAY: guided tour of Verona with the art history teacher (included in the course price).
- WEDNESDAY: guided tour in the surroundings discovering local and regional products (wine, olive oil) and Italian landscape beauty (Garda Lake, Valpolicella).
- THURSDAY: cooking class in their kitchen.
- FRIDAY: aperitivi italiani in their kitchen.
- SATURDAY FULL DAY TOUR: guided tours with the art history teacher to the cities near Verona.
- ART HISTORY lessons on request to know more about Italian art and artists.
- AMARONE WINE TASTING in their kitchen on request.

Special note for 2024 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2024 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. - Can a student change from standard course to online classes?
“In case the school would have to close due to any emergency, standard courses will be held online. They may also change the programme to an online course once the course has started, however the two courses are not the same. Online students can participate in a more passive way and cannot join all the activities held in class.

What do you suggest?“Included in the Standard Language Course is a Tuesday-afternoon guided tours of Verona where an Art History teacher accompanies students around different parts of the city, each week focusing on a different aspect of Verona's art, architecture and history.
Aside from this, the school has a selection of afternoon programmes that students can join for an additional cost.
These are as follows:
- TUESDAY: guided tour of Verona with the art history teacher (included in the course price).
- WEDNESDAY: guided tour in the surroundings discovering local and regional products (wine, olive oil) and Italian landscape beauty (Garda Lake, Valpolicella).
- THURSDAY: cooking class in the school kitchen
