Incredibly warm atmosphere. I felt immediately welcomed, as if I had been there for the umpteenth time. The lessons start at 9.30 am and are very relaxed. There were only four of us in the course and the teacher was very patient with us :-) The classroom was air-conditioned, which was great at 36 degrees, but not a given with the current electricity prices. There was something for everyone at the afternoon events. A great, somehow almost familiar school with very 'colourful', diverse, international students!

The teachers and the staff are extremly welcoming, friendly and open - I guess real Italians. :) There is tea, coffee and cookies for free during the breaks. Even though I just took four lessons durning my first week, the school gave me the beginner volume of their schoolbook, plus the next week the following volume. Their own school material is really practical because you have everything you need already together and don't need to collect papers and put them in order yourself.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss My hostmum brought me to some "Lindy Hop" events. This was a great opportunity for me to get in touch with locals. The people at these events are very friendly and will teach you some steps to be able to dance with them. If you're interested in participating in any local activity, you should check out the "casa del quartiere". They organise different courses and help you to get in touch with locals.

Other comments The hostmum they organised for me was amazing. The food she cooked for me was real Italien style: with anti-pasti, primo, secondo and dolci. She also took me on a ride on her Vespa (typical Italian scooter) when we went to the center. In general she was very caring and interested in talking to me, telling me more about the life of Italians which helped me improve my Italian even more AND gave me an insight into the culture.

Quality of education and leisure activities. Ideal location of the school in the city center. I also liked the friendliness that reigns in Italy Porticando. On the day of my departure from Turin on Saturday, October 7th, the school offered a cultural tour with a local guide out of town. I regretted not being able to participate. The idea of offering a weekend excursion, even a few hours, is pleasant for students who stay longer than 2 weeks. .
Insider tips about what future students should not miss Turin has a lot to offer in terms of culture: museums, exhibitions, concerts, flea markets, etc. It's impossible to get bored in this city. One of the tourist offices is required to be informed of events not to be missed during a long stay. Purchase a program on Friday to know everything about cultural and sports activities for the weekend.

Other comments Personally, I think that some texts of course booklets should be updated to be even more up to date with our time. Some classes are small, 6 students + the teacher.

I am delighted. Everything was perfect. I can only recommend this school. The teachers are of an exceptionally high standard, directly overqualified for a language school, but this benefits the students. Well-balanced lessons - a good mix of speaking, listening and grammar. I made great progress and the guided excursions with Laura were first class. The secretary's office responds to all requests. I would very much like to come back.

It is a fantastic school, I loved the facilities, I was very grateful that they turned on the heating every day, despite not being very cold days. The atmosphere is wonderful, they had lots of details with the students, like laying Easter eggs and the "Colomba pasquale" another day. The visits, great. The teacher was great and everyone was very friendly.

The teachers and the management team are great. The rooms are bright, friendly and clean. The school always offers mineral water during class. For free. And every day at 11 o'clock there is a meeting of all students and teachers in the "salone" to drink an espresso or tea, talk to each other and find out about excursions and city tours.

It is a small, family school with excellent teachers (at least the ones I had). They offer high quality afternoon activities (some free and some for an additional fee). The library, where you can borrow books and DVDs as well as the area for self-study is quite small. However, they allow you to use the classrooms when they are free.

Quality of teaching / language progress: The 50+ course was excellent, only 4 students in class, based on Italian culture and with an excellent teacher. The additional week was also very good. Although with more students (9), another excellent teacher who encouraged to participate in class and the material used was very adequate.
Other comments Being a small school, it is ideal for beginners or an intermediate level. They might not really have the advanced level or they might call it advanced when it really isn't.

The encounter with the new students was great, but most of the time I was to attend an after-school tour with Laura who is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and speaks very clearly in Italian. We brought in experts to connect us with other students and provide us with a unique experience that only Turino can offer!

Everyone at the school spoke Italian and Italian only, which is very challenging for a total beginner, but great if you expect total immersion and need to learn Italian fast. I found teachers's very professorial and the course is very well designed and tough!
Insider tips about what future students should not miss I booked a 30-hour full immersion course, but due to availability I could only book 25 hours (4 group lessons in the morning + 1 hour with a private tutor in the afternoon). As the course is extremely intensive, I think the deal I got was much better than the one I chose. The private tutor was great at explaining things that I didn't understand and then I still had enough time to rest and study in the evening.

Quality of teaching / language progress: The intensive course was intense but really really worthwhile. I was placed in 'Intermedio' at first, but after the first hours to 'Intermedio avanzato' for the rest of the two weeks. I am very positive about the precise and thoughtful approach of the tutors and organisation.
Other comments Friendly and open atmosphere, balanced and well structured study material and a diversity of forms, exercises and topics to stimulate the learning process.
