The junior English language programme is specifically designed for the young learner and caters for different ages and levels according to the Common European Framework of Languages. The courses also adhere to the Ministry of Education standards and the EFL (English as a Foreign Language) monitoring board.
Classroom time is made up of 20 lessons (15 hours) per week, Monday to Friday, and lessons primarily focus on improving communication, with the correct use of grammar and the development of vocabulary and pronunciation.
Outside the classroom the active learning programme encourages students to put into practice the English they have learnt within a fun and informal English speaking environment.
The approach to learning English operates on the philosophy that the more the language is actively practised, the sooner the student will develop the skills and confidence to communicate. This works best in an international environment in which English is used every day and not exclusively within class teaching time.
On the first day, students take part in a placement test and are allocated according to the appropriate course level. Students are regularly monitored and graded by their teachers, and at the end of the course they are presented with the official school certificate. The school’s grading system is based upon the specifications of the universal Common European Framework levels.
All teaching materials are provided by the school; students need to bring their own notepad and writing instruments, and can bring their own dictionary (but it is not required).

Students are regularly monitored and graded by their teachers and at the end of the course they are presented with the official school certificate. The school’s grading system is based upon the specifications of the universal Common European Framework levels.
All teaching materials are provided by the school; students need to bring their own notepad and writing instruments, and can bring their own dictionary (but it is not required).
During their free time students engage with other students in a full programme of cultural and sporting activities as well as regular evening entertainment.
The student residence is situated in Buggiba and located a short distance from the beach with views overlooking the Kennedy Grove park nature reserve. Both the summer school and main school are located within 15 minutes of the accommodation.
As the Student Residence is part of a hotel, it includes both an indoor and outdoor pool and a jacuzzi on the rooftop terrace. English movies are regularly screened on a large screen around the pool. An affordable shop for basic supplies and a café are located in the main lounge.
Students have access to the exclusive activity centre with free Wi-Fi access, use of Playstation, XBOX, Nintendo Wii, table football, board games, pool, cinema, and karaoke nights.
Students are allocated by gender and accommodated in triple or quad rooms on specific floors within the residence. Bed linen is changed twice per week and towels can be exchanged daily. Beach towels are not provided.
Meals are served as a multi-course buffet and on occasion, a packed lunch is provided for certain after-school activities. Special dietary needs are provided on request free of charge.
Adjacent to the residence students have access to the nature park and all-weather football pitch where additional activities such as football tournaments and treasure hunts are organised in a picturesque surrounding.
The school's live-in representatives, group leaders, and entertainment team organises daily parties, games, and leisure entertainment.
Care is taken to accommodate students by age, gender, and nationality. Bedrooms are well equipped with comfortable beds, a safe, wardrobes, study tables, a satellite TV, a telephone, a hairdryer and a balcony. All rooms have air-conditioning and have a private ensuite bathroom.
The residence is staffed around the clock 7 days per week. For additional safety, there is a curfew, which varies depending on the students’ age.

Private English lessons are the most effective and intensive form of language teaching in which all the attention is completely on the individual goals and focus of each participant. The lessons are continuously adapted to the student's abilities and progress.
The great advantage of this course is that the teacher can exclusively focus on the strengths and weaknesses of the student. Topics can range from general English to business English or specific technical subjects such as law, medicine, marketing, etc.
Students are welcome to announce the topics they would like to cover before arriving at the school. If, for example, you would like to prepare for a seminar or meeting, the school recommends that you send all information directly to the private teacher so that they can prepare the lessons intensively and individually until your arrival.

Malta’s capital city with its sprawling harbour stretches over the island‘s eastern shore. This trip will guide you through Valletta’s vibrant streets, part of UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage, with planned stops at Barracca Gardens, which offer a great view of the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities, and the world-famous St. John’s Co-Cathedral.
Mdina
Malta’s former capital city was built on a hill in the centre of the island and offers an imposing sight even from afar. Mdina, also known as “Silent City”, will send you on a journey to Medieval times. Small alleys meander towards a popular viewing platform that provides a great overview of the entire island on bright days.
Gozo Jeep Safari Tour
Day trip to Malta’s small neighbouring island of Gozo! We’ll show you the most interesting places that regular bus tours would omit. Our experienced tour guides will take you on a beautiful coastal road trip to famous destinations like Azure Window, the capital city of Victoria, and other picturesque sites. Depending on the weather, swimming in the turquoise sea is part of the schedule as well.
Sandy Beaches
Malta’s northern sandy beaches are quite popular and particularly worth visiting on the weekends. Golden Bay and its two smaller side beaches, Mellieha Bay and Paradise Bay, are definitely recommendable and easily accessible by bus, allowing you to discover the island at a tranquil pace.
Comino and the Blue Lagoon
Enjoy the crystal-clear water and experience Malta from its most gorgeous side! A sailing ship will take you along Malta’s coastline to the neighbouring offshore island of Comino. The Blue Lagoon is famous for its turquoise water and its Caribbean flair. Swimming and sunbathing on white, sandy beaches are actively encouraged!
Clubs, Bars, Restaurants
St Julian’s is the favourite destination for travellers who would like to enjoy Malta’s nightlife. Delicious restaurants and hip bars can be found on every corner. The district of Paceville offers clubs for all musical tastes with no cover charge. Havana Club, Hugo’s, Salsa Club Fuego and the Bar Native welcome you! Occasional live acts, a modern cinema as well as a bowling alley complement the scene.
Diving
Whether you’re already an experienced diver or a first-time user of diving masks and flippers, we can recommend the appropriate diving school for you. Get to know and love the enchanting underwater world of the Maltese islands!
Golfing
Marsa Sports Club offers a club room and an 18-hole course near Valletta. The course offers a nice challenge for vacation golfers and is not too overwhelming for beginners. Some holes are difficult par fives that require some practice. The course is about 20 driving minutes away from the language school.
Sicily
On this day trip to Sicily, you’ll be riding on a catamaran from Malta to Italy. After no more than 90 minutes on the boat, you’ll switch to a comfortable bus and visit the typical Sicilian fishing village of Pozzallo. In addition to an excursion to Catania, you’ll also embark on a trip to Mount Etna, the biggest and most active volcano in Europe – a definite highlight! Depending on the season, you’ll also be visiting either Taormina or Modica where you can take in the Mediterranean atmosphere one more time before sailing back to Malta.

- Does the Business English course also cover general English?“Business English is only focused on Business topics, no Grammar is being taught.
”Aneta Zdrazilova, from Maltalingua - Sep 03, 2021 - Are group or individual lessons more effective in language learning?“The effectiveness of a particular learning format directly depends on your goal. If you want to learn to speak English, be sure to choose group classes. This is the only way to overcome the language barrier and start speaking, as you will constantly communicate with teachers and other students. If you have already mastered this skill well and have set yourself a more difficult goal (for example, to pass an international exam), then you should think about individual lessons with a teacher who knows the format of the exam you have chosen and has experience of successful preparation for it. Such a teacher will easily be able to identify your strengths and weaknesses in the context of the exam and develop an individual preparation programme.”Maksym Sterpul, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 12, 2023
- Can we organise a transfer even if we haven't booked accommodation with the school?“Yes, it's possible! All you have to do is tell us the address where you will be staying and your flight details.
