Location: Máximo Nivel Manuel Antonio is a Spanish school located in the beautiful and naturally diverse town of Quepos, Costa Rica. The school is housed in the popular resort district of Manuel Antonio. It is an open-air institute surrounded by beaches and rainforests, within walking distance of the pristine waters of the Pacific Ocean and white sandy beaches. The Manuel Antonio National Park is close by, with further attractions and multiple beaches within walking distance. There are also eateries, restaurants, several eateries, supermarkets and convenience stores nearby.
Course selection: In addition to General Spanish courses, taught over various schedules and intensities and available to students of all levels, Maximo Nivel Manuel Antonio also supplies several choices of combination programmes of Spanish plus activities and specific subjects such as TEFL Teaching Certification, Scuba Certification, Surf School, internships, volunteer work and much more! There are also fully immersive junior programmes available during the summer for students aged 13-17 years. Medical Spanish and Business Spanish are also readily available all year round.
Social and cultural: The area is ripe with beaches, commercial shopping, a vibrant nightlife and coastal rainforest. Many activities and excursions are available in the area, several of which the school is happy to help students arrange.

Group classes are offered at all levels, Basic through Advanced. Groups are formed based on your results on the free Spanish Placement Exam. Teachers keep the group classes small, ranging in size from 3–8 people, though most groups average only 3–6 people. Small group classes provide a great balance between personalized attention, social interaction, and engagement.

If you want to commit some of your extra time to learning Spanish but can’t commit to a full-time programme, then the Group 10 Spanish programme with its relatively easy-going schedule of 10 lessons per week could be a realistic option for you. You will work on improving the fundamental skills of learning a second language, including using grammar structures accurately, as well as reading, writing, listening and speaking.
The class sizes are kept small, at just 8 participants maximum, which helps students and teachers to communicate with each other easily and work together efficiently and effectively.
At the start of the programme you will be asked to take a placement test with the school, which will help them determine which group level you should be assigned to. It’s normal and expected that your group may change after a period of time, due to your progress with your Spanish studies.

The super-intensive program works best when coupled with a traditional family stay in order to maximize your Spanish immersion experience. - What time are the lessons? Can I choose the time in advance? What time do you recommend?“Depending on the level and availability, the lessons are either in the morning: 9:00 - 13:00 or in the afternoon: 14:00 - 18:00.
Both timetables have their advantages. Those who are in class in the morning have the afternoon free, for example for the beach. Note that many activities and tours in Costa Rica start early in the morning when it gets light. At this time, the animal world is very active. In the afternoon it is optimal in the shady school and you have enjoyed the morning.
