At Monnalisa, the Italian standard course is designed for participants who need to improve their Italian skills for general use.

The lessons are organized through two-hour courses per day, divided into three levels of language proficiency. If you are beginner student, you will immediately start with your first Italian class.
Together we will read texts, watch videos, listen to the songs, in order to reinforce listening comprehension. We will read to improve our writing and we will do games and activities that will lead to learn in a dynamic and amusing way. There will be lessons on grammatical structure but also exercises on vocabulary and diction.

During the course the main communication skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing will be developed at all levels in a gradual and balanced way.
The courses are dynamic and elastic. Every week teachers adapt and integrate in each group the program to meet your needs and your interests.

At Monnalisa School in Florence the Italian intensive course is designed for participants who need to improve their Italian skills for general use.

It is also possible to subscribe to only one, two or three weeks. Together we will read texts, watch videos, listen to the songs, in order to reinforce listening comprehension, we will read to improve our writing and we will do games and activities that will lead to learn in a dynamic and amusing way. There will be lessons on grammatical structure but also exercises on vocabulary and diction. Private Italian lessons are an excellent alternative to group courses, because they allow the student to work with the teacher on a one-on-one basis and focus on specific grammar, culture and news issues, or on any other subject that the student may be particularly interested in.
Moreover, they can be useful for students who have already attended a group course and need to strengthen and practice their knowledge and the acquired language skills.

This method is also valid for people who need to use Italian in their business dealings and wish to learn the specific economic, business, legal, medical or tourist jargon, or more generally, learn the language that can apply to professional situations in general.

This course is very flexible and tailored to a student's needs, interests and schedules.

This “duetto” course is designed for two people who have the same level of Italian. You can learn Italian with your partner or travelling companion whilst also benefiting from the individual attention of your teacher. You decide the time, days and topics of the lessons.

Duetto lessons provide a unique opportunity to meet your immediate educational needs.

The tuition fees for this course includes Lessons, materials, exam simulation and an accommodation placement service.

The CILS (certificazione di italiano come lingua straniera) certificate is an official qualification that assesses linguistic-communicative ability in Italian as a foreign language. The CILS system is the first in Italy to have created an assessment method specifically for foreigners working in Italy, following guidelines laid out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: the European standard for evaluating linguistic competence.

All foreigners and any Italian citizens living abroad can take the CILS examination. It is not necessary to have first successfully completed a CILS examination at a lower level before proceeding to a higher level. Each candidate is encouraged to prepare for the CILS examination in the way that best suits their needs.

You do not need to hold any prior degree or certification to obtain a CILS certificate, you are just expected to possess Italian knowledge appropriate to the level of CILS selected. You must have good general cognitive abilities, adequate linguistic abilities in your own language and famiilarity with the Latin alphabet. CILS exams require basic knowledge of European culture and society and of Italy’s geographic, historical and cultural framework.

Reduced rate of EUR 180 per week available for those who wish to reserve 20 hours at a time.
