Location: Na'atik Language & Culture Institute is located in the unique Mexican town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo, Mexico. A small town off the beaten track in Mexico's Yucután Peninsula, Felipe Carrillo Puerto offers a unique and authentic immersive experience. The school is centrally located, within walking distance of many amenities, shops, and eateries, with the town centre and the central bus station also within walking distance of the school's front doors.

Course selection: As the school's name suggests, Na'atik Language & Culture Institute is both a language and cultural centre. In addition to Language tuition and course teaching Spanish, Na'atik also provides Maya and English lessons. These programmes can be taken as individual programmes or in small groups.

Social and cultural: Na'atik promotes the immersive language experience inside and outside of the classroom. From engaging walking tours and welcoming dinners to unique activities such as trips to remote jungle lagoons where students can swim and kayak, the school offers a wide range of activities for students of all preferences.

Na'atik promotes the interconnectedness of society and social responsibility. The school provides English language programmes to the local Maya community and is a strong advocate of equal opportunities for Indigenous children in Mexico.

    The personalised classes are taught by experienced, native-speaking, bilingual, university-trained educators who are passionate about the Spanish language, their community and their Mexican culture. You will have individualised instruction to work on your specific needs. When local English classes are in session, you can volunteer in a class, participate in an Intercultural Exchange, or share your experiences in one of the Career Talks. The school representative will pick you up from the Carrillo bus station, introduce you to your homestay family, be here to answer any questions you have and provide you with guidance and support during your stay. The school´s walking tour and welcome dinner will let you feel at ease in town. You’ll also enjoy a trip to a beautiful, remote jungle lagoon for swimming and kayaking, a cooking class (for those studying two or more weeks), and a bike for getting around. The school offers many additional, off-the-beaten path excursions to add on if you like!
Individual classes
Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 20 US$. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.
