Housed in the Jackson Heights neighbourhood of the Queens Borough, the school is housed right in front of the 82nd Street subway station and has Manhattan within a 25-minute journey via public transport. There are several amenities, eateries, shops and attractions nearby, ensuring that students have everything they need to have a fantastic time in the city that never sleeps. The multiethnic neighbourhood surrounding the school ensures that students have eateries, restaurants and shops from all over the world close by. The John F. Kennedy International Airport is around a 25-minute taxi or 60-minute journey from the school via public transport.

Course selection: New York Language Centre - Queens provides part-time and full-time English as a second language (ESL) programmes to students of all levels. Part-time programmes often take place in the evening or at the weekends, ensuring that students who are working may also be able to attend.

The Intensive Language Program comprises eight levels of ESL and Post-Advanced classes. Post-Advanced classes include academic level Listening/Speaking as well as Reading/Writing courses, TOEFL prep and Business English. All courses offer integrated skills as well as a Friday Workshop which offers enhanced practice with authentic materials such as newspaper articles, podcasts and online videos. Students interact with real English to improve listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Special note for 2024 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2024 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2023 many schools were fully booked during the holidays, and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2024 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.
