The general French course is based on a large range of activities such as role-plays, simulations, creative workshops and group work. Innovative tools and learning strategies are implemented in order to enhance skills outside the classroom.

This program is designed for adults who wish to acquire the basics of French as a foreign language for daily life and to express themselves fluently in French.
The general French courses are accessible to all, from beginners to more advanced speakers. The four skills worked on are: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Phonetics and grammar are also covered during the course.

The approach is focused on the practical aspect of the French language in order to facilitate daily communication during one’s immersion in French culture and language.

Learning French in France and in Bordeaux is ideal to progress quickly. The general French courses allow students to adapt quickly and communicate with French speakers.

Newdeal offers programs in French as a foreign language suited to each level and organizes a variety of activities for which the teachers choose different class materials adjusted to each student’s needs and profile.

Each week, a theme is chosen by the teaching team, the French teachers work together to develop a tailored program that allows students to learn coherently across the whole French school.

Newdeal’s Intensive French course is a mix of their general French courses and their afternoon workshops, which include the Verbal Expression Workshop, the Conversation-Debate Workshop, the Civilisation Workshop (culture focus), the Grammar Remediation Workshop, and the Games Workshop.

You’ll learn French quickly as you’ll be having additional classes focusing on oral expression. Oral practice courses (role-plays, debates…) are divided into 2 groups: A1-A2 and B1-B2.

The Intensive French Course for adults is a program that addresses various aspects of the French language. The Intensive course in a French school in Bordeaux allows you to progress quickly. Linguistic immersion enables you to improve your level in French while discovering the French culture.

The Intensive French course is a combination of General French courses in the morning and French language workshops in the afternoon.

Workshops:
The Verbal Expression Workshop: theater and phonetics exercises allow you to practice speaking to better pronounce the different sounds of the French language:

• Listening discrimination exercises: listening to recognize and distinguish between two similar sounds in French.
  
• Pronunciation exercises: describing sounds and phonetics practice to be able to pronounce French clearly.
  
• Reading and acting exercises: Work on speaking and pronunciation to practice the studied sounds.
  
• Dictations: Work on the relationship and the differences between writing and listening.
  
• Games: tongue twisters and improv theater to have fun while learning.
  THE Conversation-Debate Workshop gives you the opportunity to be more at ease when speaking thanks to the importance given to verbal communication. The debate topic is chosen by the professor in cooperation with the students. The objective is to work on public speaking and creating arguments about current issues and events in France. The workshop helps to develop speaking skills in a warm and playful atmosphere.
  
  The Civilization Workshop / Living in France aims to explore the French culture and daily life in France. This course deepens one’s knowledge of France and the daily life of the French. French history, customs and traditions, including culinary customs, are covered in this program.
  
  The Grammar Remediation Workshop: The grammar remediation classes allow each student to work on his or her specific needs and expectations. In a friendly atmosphere, the French teacher provides exercises designed to target the difficulties encountered during the morning lessons.
  
  Every week, the teachers choose a different theme that is worked on in every class, which allows students of different levels to exchange during break times.

  A long-term, immersive stay allows you to progress in an entirely French-speaking environment.   To satisfy each student’s interests, the topics covered are defined by our teaching team and differ every week. These various subjects encourage discussion with other students who come from all over the world to learn French in France and in Bordeaux.
  
  CONTENT OF FRENCH COURSES AND WORKSHOPS:
  The long-term course offers a programme with a set class of up to 15 students maximum; this small number allows for more student speaking time and individual attention.
  
  The French lessons within the long-term programme are accompanied by regular monitoring and support from the teaching team and manager. The goal is to ensure that our student’s objectives are met and that real progress is made.
  
  In the morning, students attend general French lessons, in which the four language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) are worked on in the same sequence. In the afternoon, our workshops allow students to work on more specific areas of the language. The different workshops on offer are:
  
  The voice, theatre and phonetics workshop to practice pronunciation and elicit the sounds of the French language more efficiently
  – Distinguish two similar sounds in French (homonyms).
  – Word pronunciation exercises in French.
  – Reading and drama exercises: Working on voice, pronunciation and
  intonation.
  – Dictations, differences between spoken and written French.
  – Games, tongue twisters and improv theater to learn whilst having
  fun.
  The civilisation/living in France workshop To discover French culture, history, traditions, gastronomy and daily life in France and Bordeaux.
  The grammar remediation workshop Targeted exercises designed according to the grammatical difficulties encountered by each student in the French class
  The Games workshop Laughter is guaranteed through fun and entertaining games in this French course.
  Thanks to the long-term French course, students will be stimulated to speak French on a daily basis and will have the confidence to speak in all formal or informal situations.
