Location: Polymnia is located in Cortona, a beautiful Etruscan town in the heart of Tuscany. Situated in the centre of Cortona, a small hill town a few kilometres from Trasimeno Lake, the school is right in the middle of Etruscan and Roman remains; between medieval quarters and renaissance churches, giving visitors a vivid walkthrough of Italian history. The school is within walking distance of the MAEC Museo dell'Accademia Etrusca e della città di Cortona, the Museo Diocesano Del Capitolo and the Porta Bifora amongst many other attractions.
Course selection: Polymnia has a great choice of courses for all levels of Italian, ranging from General Italian courses taught in groups to private lessons. They also have a Conversation at Lunch Time course consisting of 10 lessons per week, or for the more advanced student, a course in art history, literature, history, wine or Italian for special purposes, can also be arranged. With teachers who specialise in the teaching of Italian as a second language, the school is open all year round.
Additional information: Cortona is a very beautiful hillside town that promises to be an excellent setting for your learning of Italian. Polymnia Cortona is an experienced school that would be happy to assist you in achieving your language goals. A short distance from many historical buildings, museums and centres, you will be sure to create many lasting memories.

Standard courses are for those who wish to learn Italian in the mornings with other students in small groups. They are divided into six levels, from beginner to advanced, and combine study of the language with in-depth studies of culture and current affairs (the degree of complexity being determined by the level of the course).
Special note for 2024 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2024 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2023 many schools were fully booked during the holidays, and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2024 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.
