Location: Samiad Summer School is in Trent College Independent School throughout the summer holidays. The school is in a small town called Long Eaton, about 8 miles southwest of Nottingham. It backs on to West Park, and is a short walk to the main highstreet. Long Eaton has a number of restaurants, supermarkets, small shops and cafes.
Getting around: South of the town is Long Eaton train station. This is 6 minutes by car or a 30-minute walk from Samiad Summer School. Trains from here reach local stations, Nottingham and cities further afield including Birmingham and Cardiff. Long Eaton is filled with bus stations, and the bus stop directly outside Trent College arrives in Nottingham in 40 minutes.
Intensive English: The school has an intensive summer course for students, who spend the morning in group classes with the rest of the camp, and in the afternoon they continue on with their studies but in smaller groups. This package includes a complete after class social programme and full board accommodation.
Activity package: Students can substitute the afternoon extra English classes for a specific activity including horse riding, golf, performing arts, tennis or a multi-activity programme.

Samiad’s Intensive English Specialism is a great option for those looking to make strides in improving their language ability.
Alongside 15 hours per week of general English, this course offers an additional 12 hours English tuition per week. Their usual English lessons are taught in classes of no more than 15 students, however the additional hours offered in this course are delivered to much smaller groups.
This programme gives students more one-on-one time with teachers, with classes limited to a maximum of five students, which provides a much more intimate learning experience!
The extra hours of tuition are a great opportunity for those looking to fast-track their learning. The school can accommodate requests for specialised sessions in advanced English or IELTS preparation classes.

Samiad’s core programme is the award-nominated English plus Multi-activity programme. This course combines high-quality English Language tuition with a wide range of sporting and social activities! From football to murder mystery games, arts and crafts to swimming and even rock climbing, students will improve their communication and team-building skills whilst also refining their English language ability at the same time. Students will study 15 hours of structured English Language tuition per week.
Classes are delivered by qualified EFL teachers, who are all native English speakers. The exciting afternoon and evening activity schedules are led by experienced Samiad activity leaders with an industry leading staff to student ratio of 1:6.

Samiad’s English plus Horse Riding course is a great way of combining Samiad's English language tuition with professional horse-riding instruction and stable management.
Whether you own your own horse or pony back at home, or you have never ridden before, this specialism caters for every level of ability. In collaboration with professional riding schools, Samiad makes sure that over this 2-week programme, students not only improve their English language and riding ability but will make friends from all over the world.
Student’s on this course will get to experience many things from grooming and mucking out to jumping, as well as countryside hacks. Knowledge of all equipment and tack, plus equine anatomy will all be learnt in English. Safety hats will be provided but if you would like your child to wear a body protector, they will need to bring their own.

I am 17 years old.“There is a supervision by tutors/teachers during classes and the school still organises activities/excursions on weekends as well, always supervised.
Should you obviously wish to have more freedom, such as an evening outing on your own with other friends, etc., you will have to submit a Parental Consent form. In this, they authorise you, for example, to go out on your own and come back obviously following a scheduled time adopted by the school campus.
