Location: Santa Monica Language Academy is a multilingual language school in the city of Santa Monica, California. The school is centrally located within the city and the core of Santa Monica is a 15-minute walk from Santa Monica Language Academy. The school is two streets back from Santa Monica state beach and just minutes from the Santa Monica pier.
Travelling within the city: Whilst the majority of activity in the city is walkable from the school, there is also an intricate bus system for trips further afield to places such as Los Angeles and Hollywood.

English Courses
The language lessons are interactive and class participation is highly encouraged. This is the best way to learn a language quickly: you will speak it and experience it right away.
The full immersion programme is 4 weeks long. Full Immersion classes meet Monday through Thursday from 09:00 to 10:30 and from 10:45 to 12:15. The great location in Santa Monica will allow you to study English while staying for business or vacationing in the Los Angeles area.
Grammar classes meet Monday to Thursday for 1.5 hours each time. The program consists of going over various aspects of grammar through lectures and practice.
Conversation classes meet Monday to Thursday for 1.5 hours each time. These classes consist of presentations and discussions on different topics: news, politics, economy, technology, health, entertainment, culture, sports, style, travel and many more. For the beginner level, the focus will be placed on pronunciation.
All language immersion courses require a minimum of 2 students and maximum of 6 students. The school begins new full immersion classes on the first Monday of every month. They offer morning classes only for full immersion.
Prerequisites: Full immersion programmes are highly recommended for students with some previous knowledge of the language, but it is not a requirement.
This course is the best option for your busy schedule and/or if you are in no rush to learn a new language. It is also a good option if you are just exploring a second language.

Weekly language classes meet once a week for 90 minutes for 8 consecutive weeks. They have a minimum of 2 students (required) and a maximum of 6 students per class.
The weekly language program is divided into 3 levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each level is then subdivided into beginner A, B, C, and D; intermediate A, B, C and D and advance A, B, C, and D.
?Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for the beginner A level, but for all other levels you are required to have some previous knowledge of the target language.
The intensive language classes are designed for those individuals who need a jump start in the language. If you need to work at a fast pace and review what you have learned in the past, the intensive language program is a great way to get you back in shape with your language skills. The intensive language programs are 4 weeks long and classes meet twice per week for three and a half hours each day.
We offer all levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each level is divided into 2 sub-levels: low and high. The intensive language programs include two sections: grammar and conversation. Students have the option to register for the entire program or by section.
