The Intensive Italian course from Scuola Leanardo da Vinci at their Milan location offers learners the chance to level up their Italian language skills through 20 professionally prepared lessons every week. The classes take place every weekday, and have a maximum of 14 participants per group - so you won’t be overwhelmed by large groups, and instead find yourself in a medium-size format that allows you to participate easily.

A preference is given to conversation practice, but even so, you can expect to be exposed to significant amounts of material and activities that are designed to work on your reading, writing, listening, and vocabulary expansion.

The course does use a coursebook, and this will be included in the fees you pay while signing up. Your teachers at this school will make use of a variety of activities to make their classes as engaging as possible - so you will not simply be working from the book.
Every group is invited to take part in extracurricular activities in Milian, usually in the afternoons or evenings. These outings are intended to get students out in the real world having fun while using and improving their Italian language skills.

It consists of 4 Italian lessons a day, totaling 20 lessons a week. The lessons are mainly based on spoken communication, but also deal with the more formal aspects of the language (lexis/vocabulary and grammar). Lots of time is dedicated to activities that encourage dialogue and discussion about various topics, from art and literature, to modern city culture.

It is recommended for those students who want to either start or continue studying Italian, since this is an intensive programme that still leaves plenty of time to discover the artistic and historic parts of the city, and also to have some fun.

An ideal combination of group and private lessons allows the student to learn in two different ways: on one hand there's studying in group, where you can benefit from the communicative dynamics, learning together with others, in a group of a maximum of 14 students. On the other hand, you can also follow a personalized and intensive study programme taking advantage of the expertise and attention offered by a private lesson.

It is recommended to those students who want to add two private lessons to the regular ones, for a deeper insight. Along with your teacher, you can also create your own programme, adjusting it to your own professional or personal needs.

To take part in the course students must have Italian origins, proven by a document attesting the Italian citizenship of the student or the parents/ancestors.

Course Includes:
4 daily Italian language group lessons with students of different nationalities (students join the general group language courses at their level).
6 weekly lessons on selected days with the following programme:

• History of the Italian emigration,
  
• Analysis of the region and the place where the student's ancestors started their
  journey,
  
• Study of the dialect spoken in the region of origin,
  
• Research on the origins of the student’s surname with the help of the teacher,
  
• Planning the visit to the place of origin of the student’s family.
  
  This course will take place even with only 1 participant: in such cases, instead of the 6 classes specific to the programme, the student will have 3 private lessons per week covering the same material.
  Italian history books are often full of images of entire families, mass-moving from our country to foreign ones, hoping to find a welcoming city where to work and raise their children.
  
  We all remember the great migrations to North America (United States and Canada), South America (Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela) and the faraway Australia. Many families also moved to Europe, to neighbouring Switzerland or Germany and the United Kingdom.
  
  To still ‘feel at home’, Italian emigrants went on talking to their children and descendants in their mother tongue, from the dialect to the modern language, telling them stories and traditions about their place of origin.
  
  The course «Discover your Origins» aims at offering the opportunity to the descendants of Italian emigrants abroad to deepen the Italian language and culture, the same their parents, grandparents, uncles have already passed them down, as well as the possibility to visit the places of origin of their ancestors.
  
  Scuola Leonardo da Vinci offers students the opportunity to visit the place of origin of their families together with a teacher (price to be quoted apart), as well as the possibility to start the procedures for requesting the Italian citizenship. School staff are available to provide assistance in this respect (for an additional fee).

Learn Italian and discover Italy at the same time:
20 group Italian lessons per week in at least 2 different cities. Choose between Florence, Milan, Rome, Turin and Viareggio. The school provides assistance with transfers between the cities (cost not included).
The school is located in 5 wonderful cities: Florence, Milan, Rome, Turin and Viareggio and offers Italian language courses with the same dates, the same prices and following similar curricula. You can easily and comfortably move from one place to another as you explore Italy. It is a unique opportunity for students to spend their holidays in Italy attending an Italian language course in each of the school's locations.

The student chooses the length of stay. The minimum stay in each city is one week.

'Italy Today' is a programme that combines the Intensive Italian language course (4 Italian lessons a day, a total of 20 lessons a week) with a collection of lessons about Italian culture, history, economics and society.
The course is available for 2 or 4 weeks.

A deep understanding of another culture is achieved by aquiring linguistic abilities, but also through studying and examining the history and society: in the programme of this course, these two aspects are perfectly combined.

2 or 4 weeks for total immersion in the Italian culture, spirit and outlook.

Students will learn Italian in a pleasant and relaxing environment, accompanied by a wide variety of cultural activities.
Week 1: orientation tour of the city, guided tour to the ‘Museo della Scala’ and Brera district, Italian cooking class, classical concert or opera, visiting the “Foundation Giuseppe Verdi, the House for Musicians".
Week 2: weekend excursion to Como or Verona, visiting Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘Last Supper’ and Santa Maria delle Grazie church, the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology, the district of ‘Navigli’ (art studios and antique shops), the ‘Museo del Novecento’, shopping in via Monte Napoleone (fashion and prêt à porter shops), and trying a traditional Milanese ‘aperitivo’.
The course is organised in 2 parts, the first being dedicated to studying the language with 4 lessons per day of Intensive Italian course, which take place in the mornings, and the second is dedicated to culture and recreation with a rich programme of afternoon and evening activities.

For the course starting in September the duration of the stay is 34 weeks as it includes 2 weeks of Christmas holidays.

  At the end of the course, students must write an essay on a topic of their choice, with the help of our school library and of a personal tutor that will assist them for 10 lessons.

This course includes:
16 weeks of Intensive Course (320 lessons) and exam preparation (40 lessons).
2 weeks of cultural courses covering Art History, Literature or Fashion (20 lessons).
This course is particularly suitable for absolute beginners of the Italian language and for participants with intermediate knowledge.

The course includes:

• 16 weeks of Intensive Italian language course, 4 lessons/day (20 lessons per week), total 320 lessons.
  
• Preparation course for the Italian Language Diploma examination: 40 lessons.
  
• 2 weeks of cultural courses (Art History, Literature, Fashion): 20 lessons.
  
• During the last 4 weeks students will participate in the preparation course for the «Firenze» Italian language Diploma Examination of the Accademia Italiana di Lingua - AIL. The exam coincides with the last school day and the Diploma will be sent to the student after his return back home.

This course is designed to help students enter and attend university in Italy.
Scuola Leonardo da Vinci organise a preparation course geared towards foreign students who wish to attend University in Italy. Some of the universities require students to take an entrance exam in order to be accepted into a specific program/major. Whether or not an exam is required for matriculation, this course prepares students for success throughout their degree’s curriculum.

In some cases, an entrance exam is required for all applicants, with a limited number of students accepted into a specific University programme. In other circumstances, students will take an exam solely to introduce them to topics related to their major, with an open number of applicants and as well as student acceptance.

The University preparation course at Scuola Leonardo da Vinci will prepare students by reinforcing language skills, enhancing writing competence and by focusing on subject matter and vocabulary closely related to each specialised programme.
