Japanese Courses
The general course focuses on being able to communicate naturally in Japanese.
The intensive course is made for students who wish to gain access to a Japanese university, graduate school, vocational school or for those who wish to level up their Japanese in a short time.
For students who can use Japanese with almost no difficulty in daily life, this level uses teaching materials that cover all the genres of Japanese, such as novels, newspapers articles and documentaries.
What you will learn:
-Be able to properly understand what an ordinary Japanese adult would read.
-Capacity to write what you want to convey and express, with a writing style, vocabulary, and format that are consistent with your purpose.
-Understand approximately a natural conversation between Japanese people. Tell your opinion using the honorific language appropriately.
-Understand the content of courses at approximately the same level as Japanese students for those who choose to attend a graduate school, undergraduate school or vocational school.
It is for students with no prior knowledge of Japanese, and those already familiar with the basics of Japanese.
What you will learn:
- Japanese fundamentals of grammar and vocabulary.
- Beginner Japanese conversation (speaking and listening).
- Japanese reading and writing skills (hiragana, katakana, basic kanji).
This online course focuses on beginner japanese skills, which involve reading, writing, speaking, and listening. SNG's unique teaching method makes it easy to learn keigo (polite speech).
Through role-play and pair work, students gain a strong grammatical foundation and can actively practice what they have learned. From this early stage, composition and speech classes are also provided.
For intermediate Japanese learners who understand foundational Japanese. Learn intermediate grammar by balancing listening, speaking, reading, writing to acquire practical Japanese skills.
What you will learn:
- Have everyday conversations with natural Japanese pronunciation.
- Read smoothly and fully understand text of a certain length.
- Be able to properly express your opinion in a rational way.
Come for 3 weeks during July and August to live in Tokyo and learn Japanese through a full-immersion course in one of the oldest Japanese language institutions in Tokyo. Take advantage of the wide selection of activities and daily excursions, and make new international friends.
The Summer Course includes: Japanese classes all morning at our school in Takadanobaba, in the heart of Tokyo's student district, and numerous tours and activities for you to discover and experience Japan. The program will always include: day trips to Kamakura and Okutama, a day at Fuji Q Highland, participation in one or more traditional festivals, a Kimono wearing class, and many more activities.
The Summer Course creates the perfect environment for you to advance your Japanese by balancing studying with cultural immersion, where you will have the opportunity to attend our morning Japanese classes. The Summer Course is oriented towards beginners, so you can learn the fundamentals.
Accessible from beginner to intermediate levels, the evening courses will allow you to gradually build to your learning goals. The original teaching method, called the Ezoe Method, was created by the founder of the school and is used by many Japanese language schools across the world. The evening courses are designed to equip students with concrete, lasting fundamentals of the Japanese language.

By learning only 111 Japanese kanji characters you should be able to read and write most of them. Shinjuku Japanese Language Institute's kanji classes are for students without strong backgrounds in kanji and aimed at providing a fun environment to learn.
These classes are aimed at students whose level is above beginner II and will focus on kanji corresponding to the JLPT N3.
Students who already have a background in kanji can also join the classes.

SNG also offers a custom-made Japanese course. The schedule will adapt to your availability and the program will be tailored to your own needs. This custom-fit Japanese course will allow you to make progress at your own pace and according to your own objectives.
The classes will have to take place during Japanese office hours.
These lessons are intended for students whose personal schedules do not match day or night class times, or for those who prefer learning one-on-one.
Lessons are tailored according to the individual's needs, depending on ability (from beginner to advanced), such as kanji, conversation, business Japanese, and listening comprehension practice.
Two options are offered: 1. a teacher is requested to visit one's workplace or 2. a student is asked to come to the school.
The study term is flexible and will be planned according to each student's needs: 1-hour lessons once a week for a year, 3 hours a day for two weeks, etc.
Attain comprehension of Japanese business culture and business conversational expressions.
In order to take this class, students must have a Japanese language ability equivalent to the JLPT N2. The course utilizes “New Businessman Story,” an original textbook created by SNG instructors. Through 50 different business situation role-plays, all using keigo (polite speech), students will learn Japanese business language, manners, and writing styles. Students will study using a variety of sources concerning business and economics. Every term, students participate in a “new product design meeting” team project, where groups compete to create the best new design.

• Speak at meetings and give presentations in Japanese.
The school´s world-class Japanese instructors focus on preparing you for real world business scenarios. Using keigo, students will learn Japanese language, manners, and skills necessary for corporate jobs in Japan.
It is for advanced (N2 Level) students.

EJU, or Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students, is a test used to evaluate non-native speakers' Japanese language skills and basic academic abilities necessary to keep up with these universities and institutions.
Students will learn Japanese essay writing skills for university entrance exams. Students who wish to go into postgraduate study will learn how to write a research proposal.

SNG understands that learning the foundation of social sciences will help improve Japanese proficiency. Therefore, in this course students will learn about current affairs from a global perspective. The main focus is on Politics and Economics, while Geography and History are also covered in this course. By understanding the essence of these subjects, students can strengthen their critical thinking skills.

EJU, or Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students, is a test used to evaluate non-native speakers' Japanese language skills and basic academic abilities necessary to keep up with these universities and institutions.
Students will use SNG’s original textbooks made especially for EJU preparation. They are able to repeat the basics and do a number of math exercises in class, leading to a deeper understanding of the subject.
Basic Math is for students who wish to major in liberal arts, and Advanced Math is for students who wish to major in math and science at Japanese universities.

EJU, or Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students, is a test used to evaluate non-native speakers' Japanese language skills and basic academic abilities necessary to keep up with these universities and institutions.
Students will learn the basic principles of each subject as well as advanced contents for university entrance exams. Students who wish to go onto higher education will learn how to answer particular questions set by their choice of universities.

EJU, or Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students, is a test used to evaluate non-native speakers' Japanese language skills and basic academic abilities necessary to keep up with these universities and institutions.
Students are grouped into classes regardless of level and will practice reading comprehension, listening comprehension, and writing using previous exam questions and original materials. Students will strengthen their vocabulary, logical thinking ability, and other skills needed for the exam. Because the EJU is a timed test, SNG uses mock exams for students to practice with and teaches them how to correctly answer questions within the allotted time.

A course specifically designed to learn Japanese language points and elements required for the test. Classes take place every Saturday in their school in Takadanobaba, in the Shinjuku district. Choose the term(s) that suit(s) you the best among three options: April, July or October. On the one hand, some terms allow you to get a grip on all the elements required for the JLPT such as grammar, kanji, vocabulary and listening; while on the other hand, other terms focus on specific elements. Thus, the syllabus of the July term focuses on writing comprehension, while the term in October concentrates on vocabulary and grammar. This course will allow you to prepare for the three highest levels of the exam: N1, N2 and N3.

The online JLPT preparation 30-hour course program is specifically designed to teach you Japanese language points and the elements required for passing the JLPT. Current available levels: JLPT N2, N3.
The Online JLPT Preparation Course is specifically designed for learning Japanese language points and elements required for the JLPT. Classes take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm Japan Standard Time (GMT+9).
The lessons include vocabulary, kanji, grammar, text comprehension and listening sections of the JLPT.
You will work on digital contents to measure your understanding, and the teacher will put focus on the elements that the student has the most difficulty with.
Acquire the necessary skills to teach the Japanese language.
SNG requires students starting with this course to have a Japanese ability equivalent to JLPT N1. The first half of each lesson is a lecture-style instruction in which students will learn Japanese theories of teaching vocabulary, syllabi, language structure, and pronunciation. The second half of the lesson is drill practice, where students study the Ezoe Method of teaching, fully immersed in Japanese. At the end of the term, students will create and teach lesson plans of their own design.

• Through practice, learn to be a fully capable Japanese teacher in Japan.
