Location: Stafford House International in Canterbury is situated on the outskirts of the city centre. It is close to Canterbury Christ Church University, and there are shops and restaurants lining the streets around the school.
Getting around: The school is a 13-minute walk from the centre of the city. Canterbury is around an hour and a half by train from London. The Canterbury East Train Station is 12 minutes by foot from the school building. From here there are regular train services to the capital city, and other surrounding cities.
Local attractions: As Stafford House International is a short walk from the centre, the central attractions such as Canterbury Cathedral and Canterbury Roman Museum are around 10 minutes by from the school. The school is very close to St Augustine's Abbey, which is under 5 minutes away.
Course structure: General English courses are available at the school in a number of different formats. There are exam preparation courses for a number of The Cambridge Exams and the IELTS Exam. One-to-one lessons can be added to a course or booked as a stand alone course.
Junior programmes: Stafford House International has a range of junior programmes which take place in the summer months.
School facilities: The school building has a student lounge, library, outside courtyard and self study room. There are interactive whiteboards in all the classrooms, and there is wifi throughout the entire school.
Social activities: There is an eclectic mix of activities put on by the school each week. A calendar of events is available for students to see what they can join and sign up too. The options range from quiz nights or other events at the school, trips to attractions in the city or excursions to other cities.

The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 16. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
