Student opinions about Studioitalia, Rome

Liked
There are a maximum of 7 students per class; it allows you to speak and ask questions easily and therefore to progress faster; and then it's more user-friendly, we all get to know each other very quickly! The students came from all over the world: Bangladesh, Philippines, Afghanistan, Brazil, Russia, United States, Belgium, it is very enriching. I was by far the oldest but didn't feel a barrier about it. We had 2 teachers every morning; it avoids monotony and in addition they complemented each other very well. It's a small school, there are 3 classes; it gives an atmosphere that I really liked.

Awesome school, I really liked the fact that the teachers were replaced at times, it made the training even more lively. Very friendly school staff, they know all the students by name, even the administrative staff, people who have never conducted classes, for example, in my group, knew everyone. In general, besides the quality of teaching, I would like to mention a wonderful atmosphere. This is not my first language course, but the feeling this time is even more joyful than usual. Many thanks to the school!

StudioItalia not only teaches language skills very well in class, but also cultural knowledge at the same time. The teachers encourage the participants to learn and always seem very positive and organised. The emphasis is on active use of the language. The course participants were also always very nice and supported each other in learning and understanding.
Disliked
Unfortunately, afternoon activities were only planned and offered towards the end of my stay. However, the one event I was able to participate in was very nice.

I really liked the learning atmosphere and the committed teachers. The learning group was small, the people very motivated and interesting. It was easy to make great progress in the foreign language in a short time.
Disliked
It was necessary to wear the mask for the entire lesson. And in the breaks, because of the corona regulations, you couldn't stand together at the coffee machine. That was important, but also stressful and a pity.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss The teachers had good recommendations on where to get a good breakfast or lunch - and some other insider tips. Just ask, depending on what you are interested in, and then go there :) This way you get to see things in Rome that regular tourists don't necessarily discover.

Quality of teaching / language progress: My course was entertaining, effective and interesting. I had the afternoons at my disposal. That was nice because I wanted to see and experience Rome. But it was also a pity because I would have liked to learn Italian for one more lesson. I would have liked to stay two weeks longer.

Questions and answers about Studioitalia

  • The evening course at Studioitalia in Rome includes 3 lessons per week. This course is not suitable for student visa application. If students wish to apply for a student visa for more than 90 days they need to book a full time course with at least 20 hours a week. Visa regulations are rather delicate and they can change very quickly, so I recommend students always contact the embassy or consulate directly in their home country.
    Angela Ligartova, LanguageCourse.net - Mar 04, 2022
  • The school can offer shared apartments in residential areas that are within 30 minutes from the school by public transport. The exact accommodation is assigned to students 1-2 weeks before arrival. The apartments are shared with other students from the school or from other universities. The owner of the apartment might live there as well. Students will have a single room with shared bathroom and shared kitchen.
    Angela, LanguageCourse.net - May 12, 2022
