Course description
ILC - International Language Centres Intensive Course consists of 30 lessons (09:30-15:00; Monday to Friday). This is the same as 22 hours and 30 minutes. 20 of these lessons follow the same programme as the main course. The other 10 are taught in the afternoon in a Communications Skills module. These afternoon lessons build language and skills to help students communicate at lower language levels (A0-A2). At higher levels, (B1_C1), the focus is on communicating effectively in a variety of contexts.
Who is this course suitable for?
This course is suitable for students who want to consolidate and build on their General English. At lower levels, it helps students to speed up their improvement so they can become more fluent and be better at speaking, listening, reading and writing. At higher levels, it provides opportunities for those who want to speak fluently on many topics to practise this in a supportive and interesting environment.

This course focuses on core English spoken communication skills for managers: managing and participating in meetings, delegating, negotiating and giving presentations. In the Intensive IELTS course, 10 lessons of the 30 lessons per week are devoted to ‘Communication Skills’ where the focus is on general speaking, reading and listening skills and topic-based vocabulary.
Who is this course suitable for?
Like the shorter IELTS Preparation course, this course is intended for any student who is planning to sit the IELTS exam. Students who can invest more time in the course can benefit from more practice, particularly in speaking. They also will gain a lot of input on their development from experienced IELTS teachers.
