Location: The Codington Language Centre in Christ Church is located on the South Coast of the beautiful Caribbean island of Barbados. Within a 10-minute walk from Rockley Beach and several bars and restaurants along the Marina, it is in a fantastic location to enjoy the island and all it has to offer.
Course selection: Whether you are looking for a Standard Course, a holiday programme or would like a course that has more to offer in the way of Business, Medical, Aviation or Golf, The Codington Language Centre has the course for you. Courses are available for students with an Elementary (A2) level and above and are designed to give students the most fulfilling and productive time in Barbados. You will be sure to be made welcome by the school's experienced staff.
Social and Cultural: Barbados is a very attractive location and has some exceptional options for excursions and activities on land, sea and air! The school will be happy to help you arrange your stay with their great connections within the local community. Excursions that can be found within the school's "Holiday Course", include Speightstown and Arlington House, Harrison's Cave, Garrison Savannah Tour and George Washington House, Gully's and Gardens, visiting Welchman Hall and Hunte's Gardens. These activities and excursions can also be added as a supplementary to any course.

“This is an exceptional language school. The quality is high due to their small classes, max 6 people. The teachers are very committed and respond to the students individually. You see students coming back again and again. This speaks for the tireless commitment of the teachers, especially the founder, Sylvia. Especially adults aged 30 and over who want to learn will find the peace and quiet to learn here. Barbados is particularly suitable for women traveling alone as it is very safe. The English culture is visible and the locals are incredibly friendly and helpful. It was the best choice I could have made and I'm not averse to going back and taking another few lessons. There is also the option to take part in the course live online. Barbados itself offers many activities. I took golf and tennis lessons for the first time and took part in Pilates classes. Everything was within minutes of my studio at Rockley Country Club. Surfing, horse riding or hiking… it's all easy to book. Barbados with this school… a hit”

“I did not have a good time in the house that I was assigned. I was even mistreated by the owner of Casa Maria. Never felt comfortable since it has so many rules of coexistence that are impossible to memorize, besides she goes into the rooms that she rents for inspection. She is an authoritarian woman who likes to mistreat people. I think the school, which is very good, should look for another house for a homestay.”

Comments about courses
Beginners are only accepted for individual tuition. If after initial acceptance a student is found to be a Beginner they will be offered the cost-equivalent number of individual lessons or the possibility of transferring to a full-time programme of individual lessons at extra cost.
Individual classes
Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 75 US$. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.
