TESOL is a concise course in which students learn how to teach English to speakers of other languages. This 4-week intensive program covers the 4 main skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), as well as the key systems (lexis, phonology, grammar) inherent in language teaching with an emphasis on modern language teaching principles and techniques. VIC-CC’s TESOL program is full of practical teaching tips and multiple opportunities to practice the skills as they’re taught. On completion of this course, graduates will have the knowledge and skills to step into the ESL/EFL classroom.
Upon course completion, students will be able to: write professional, comprehensive lesson plans, deliver communicative ESL lessons at different levels, give clear, concise instructions, give constructive feedback to students, and manage a classroom effectively. Students will also be able to teach all aspects of listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as lexis, phonology and grammar.
