This program is perfect for the travelers who don´t have time to take a break between adventures.
Through this course, you will gain the basic language (and culture) skills you need to not only survive but enjoy your time in Ecuador.
During your short time at the school, not only will you learn the basics of the language, but the faculty and staff will orient you to Ecuador so you will be prepared to explore this beautiful country on your own.
The base program includes 4 hours of class per day, but many students decide to take more.
In the Quito Spanish Immersion Program, you will be exposed to native spoken Spanish from sun-up to sun-down.
You will learn the grammatical components of Spanish via the communicative method, as well as practice what you’ve learnt in real life scenarios as you escape the classroom with one of the teachers.
You will also share life with an Ecuadorian family, learning the culture and practicing your Spanish firsthand.
With the Travelling Classroom, you will receive a taste of every part of the country. You will learn Spanish in a variety of settings: spending two weeks in the Andes of Quito, one week in the Ecuadorian Jungle overlooking the Napo River, and one week on the shores of the Pacific Coast.
You will experience Ecuadorian culture firsthand as Vida Verde teachers guide you on cultural field trips in the afternoons and as you share life with your homestay family.

General classes are a blast and a great way to learn Spanish with people from all cultures.
Teachers are trained to work with groups and to get conversations going, even at the most basic of levels.
Meaningful communication is at the core of language learning, so teachers strive to naturally create these situations in class.
Vida Verde also specializes in teaching Spanish to children.
Children acquire the language much faster than adults, and the school has found that a play-based approach works the best. These classes focus on experiential learning with a focus on having fun and include a good mix of games, songs, and stories.
Because children have a shorter attention span, the school generally recommends that they take a maximum of 2 hours of class per day.
However, this depends on the maturity of the child, so parents are the ones who make the final decision.
Connect with Vida Verde’s teachers via Skype and receive all the benefits of Spanish immersion classes, without pausing your busy life.

If you are very comfortable with the skills required for the level of test that you want to take, between 2 and 4 weeks of classes is recommended. This amount of time will familiarize you with DELE exam, clarify any knowledge gaps you might have, practice the standard exercises, and discuss the topics that are typically included in the exam.
If you are near the level you want to take, the school recommends you take 4-6 weeks of classes. This program will give you time to have a thorough understanding of the grammatical concepts and plenty of time to practice for the exam.
If you are not near the level that you would like to test for, the school advise that you spend more time preparing. Everyone learns languages at a different rate and the speed which you can prepare for a new level depends on your language aptitude, for how long you have studied Spanish, and how hard you study. A good rule of thumb is that is takes about 4-6 weeks to advance in the beginner levels, and 6-8 weeks to advance in the intermediate or advanced levels.
