Location: Village Camps Santa Cruz is a Junior summer camp located in the Portuguese city of Santa Cruz, famous for its quality beaches. The school is held on a campus with fantastic sporting facilities, with nearby pine forests, cliffside trails and beaches.
Course selection: These courses do not include language lessons.
The adventure and surf camps are open to students aged 13-17 years during the summer months and are all-inclusive of tuition, meals, accommodation, activities and excursions.
These adventure camps have many activities for students to enjoy and get to know their peers. Such activities can include climbing, hiking, mountain biking, outdoor survival skills, nature trails, orienteering and much more. Watersports such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, introduction to surfing, paddleboarding and more are also readily available.
Alternatively, surf camps are also readily available during the summer months.
Excursions included in the programme can include day trips to Lisbon, catamaran sailing, dolphin watching, visits to the medieval city of Obidos and much more.
Accommodation: The accommodation is within a 15-minute walk of the beach and the city centre. It has been purpose-built and is composed of a "Residence" building with 4-6 bedroom modern apartments with en-suite facilities. there is a large on-site private swimming pool, exclusive use of two activity rooms and sports courts.
Getting around: Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) is around a 50-minute taxi from the school.
