The Tasmania State includes the island of Tasmania and the surrounding islands. It is separated from the continent of Australia by the Bass Strait. The island and state capital of Hobart is to the South of the island. Salamanca Market, MONA museum of Art and Mount Wellington are among some of things to do in the island's largest city. Also worth a visit is the 19th century prison on Port Arthur, close to Hobart. The island has spectacular landscapes including Bay of Fires, Cradle Mountain and Freycinet National Park.
