The state of Washington is in the North West of the USA. It has a North Pacific Ocean shoreline to the east and touches the Canadian province of British Columbia. On the northern border with Canada is the North Cascades National Park, with glaciers and Ross Lake. The state is home to several volcanoes, five of which are active including Mount Saint Helens and Mount Rainier. Mount Rainier is the highest peak in Washington and lies close to the largest city in the state, Seattle. Seattle has the iconic Space Needle and Pike Place Market as well as being close to the Olympic National Park.
