8 Combined English Group and Individual Lessons in Edinburgh

Standard General English course Monday to Friday plus private lessons two afternoons per week. On the Combination Course, you will follow the Standard Course in the mornings and have two afternoons of private individual lessons. These are designed to meet your individual requirements and give you the perfect opportunity to work on specific language areas of your choice with your own teacher. In advance of your course or during your first individual lesson, you will complete a Needs Analysis form with your teacher, in which you can identify particular areas to work on. This helps your teacher to plan your programme according to your learning needs, and ensures you get the maximum benefit from your lessons.

This course allows students to enjoy one-to-one learning and group participation in the same course. Individual lessons are a great way to enhance learning experience and progress more quickly. 15 group lessons with 7.5 individual lessons per week. Combining private English lessons with group sessions gives students the best of both worlds. Students can enjoy one-to-one learning and group participation in the same course. Combination Option English students can work with others in a relaxed atmosphere in the morning and receive intensive one-to-one English training in the afternoon whilst continuously benefiting from high-quality inlingua learning methods.

This course offers students the opportunity to benefit from peer to peer learning whilst benefiting from individual attention. 15 mini-group lessons and 7.5 individual lessons per week. The combination option offers Business English students the opportunity to study in a group and on a one-to-one basis. Students will benefit from peer-to-peer learning by attending our General English group course or Business English Mini-Group course each morning from 9:00 to 12:15. Business English students can then further their language skills in one-to-one lessons in the afternoon, whilst benefiting from the individual attention of the Business English trainer. This course gives you the skills to communicate effectively through using English in a working environment and to improve your overall confidence when conducting business in English. The course also provides a great opportunity to network with fellow Business English students. Each week the Business English course is designed around the group’s needs and requests and will focus on specific problem areas. The trainer will focus on language errors with controlled practice and exercises. The course includes the following modules: - Presentations. - Negotiations. - Meetings. - Telephone conversations. - Socialising. - Report writing. - Email. By the end of this course, clients should be able to: 1. Communicate confidently and fluently in English. 2. Deliver clear and effective presentations. 3. Participate in meetings and negotiations on equal terms and be able to influence, persuade, compromise and be assertive. 4. Communicate with a high level of grammatical accuracy and vocabulary. 5. Extract all relevant information from the written text. 6. Write reports, letters and emails. 7. Deal with telephone calls and video conferences effectively. 8. Deal with intercultural and social situations. 9. Discuss current affairs and business topics.
