By observing face-to-face ELE classes you will be able to gain experience and deepen your training as a Spanish teacher. Guidelines for an optimal observation experience will be provided before the course. You will also have the chance to analyze the observation with the observed teacher, commenting on the methodology used, student participation, time distribution and every aspect of the class.

This course has a practical approach that provides teachers with the tools to achieve dynamic lessons. It focuses on the skills needed to achieve oral and written interaction while reflecting on the importance of linguistic and paralinguistic values within oral expression. The main objective is that teachers can learn about materials to take directly into their classrooms while being trained to create these materials. This participatory methodology allows them to show and share experiences in the classroom or discuss the different workshops presented during the training. In each workshop, participants will develop activities based on the model of the theme presented.

Designed for teachers of Spanish as a foreign language who want to refresh their language knowledge and update their teaching methodologies. 20 group lessons combined with mentoring and 10 hours of observation per week.The program for Spanish teachers is specifically designed for teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) who would like to expand upon and update their knowledge of foreign language teaching methodologies and resources. Participants will increase their pedagogical expertise by discussing methodological topics, such as how to teach grammar and vocabulary, how to integrate culture into the lessons, and how to plan a class integrating new technologies; and by observing different Spanish language classes and reviewing other related issues that will inevitably enrich their classrooms back home. PROGRAM DETAILS - 20 group sessions (each lasting 55 minutes) about different aspects of Spanish teaching methodology. Participants will present their projects in the final session. - 10 observation hours in immersive Spanish language classes of varying levels and content. - Readings and references about Spanish teaching and the European key competences for foreign language teachers. - Feedback from the teacher on the required final project presented by the participant. - Access to workrooms at the center, with Wi-Fi, for individual work. - Access to the free activities organized by the center during the course. - Course completion certificate.

This course consists of 20 units of language classes in an advanced group (B2 or higher) with a maximum of 10 students + 10 individual lessons about updating the didactic knowledge of ELE teaching, tailored to the actual participant’s needs (before you arrive at TANDEM they will send you a needs’ analysis). Non-native Spanish teachers in primary or secondary schools, universities and private language centres, who are interested in teaching E/LE and want to improve their knowledge of Spanish in the classroom and who, at the same time, would like to obtain the necessary didactic tools for their work as teachers. People who want to apply for an ERASMUS + grant. This course consists of 20 language class units in an advanced group (B2 or C1) + 10 individual refreshment lessons to update teachers on the didactics of teaching ELE, made-to-measure the actual needs of the teacher.
