The Intensive Italian course from Scuola Leanardo da Vinci at their Milan location offers learners the chance to level up their Italian language skills through 20 professionally prepared lessons every week. The classes take place every weekday, and have a maximum of 14 participants per group - so you won’t be overwhelmed by large groups, and instead find yourself in a medium-size format that allows you to participate easily. A preference is given to conversation practice, but even so, you can expect to be exposed to significant amounts of material and activities that are designed to work on your reading, writing, listening, and vocabulary expansion. The course does use a coursebook, and this will be included in the fees you pay while signing up. Your teachers at this school will make use of a variety of activities to make their classes as engaging as possible - so you will not simply be working from the book. Every group is invited to take part in extracurricular activities in Milian, usually in the afternoons or evenings. These outings are intended to get students out in the real world having fun while using and improving their Italian language skills. It consists of 4 Italian lessons a day, totaling 20 lessons a week. The lessons are mainly based on spoken communication, but also deal with the more formal aspects of the language (lexis/vocabulary and grammar). Lots of time is dedicated to activities that encourage dialogue and discussion about various topics, from art and literature, to modern city culture. Linguaviva’s Italian Standard course at their Milan location lets students receive all the benefits of committing to 20 lessons every week, within which they will build on their Italian language skills related to reading, writing, listening and speaking. Italian is spoken at all times during the course, including all explanations - this encourages students to always stay engaged, and also get used to thinking in the target language. You will use a course book (charged separately) throughout this programme, with your teacher providing additional materials when necessary, as well as directing interactive and dynamic activities with your peers. Included in your tuition fees, you will receive: the accommodation placement service, the placement test to determine your initial group, academic counselling specifically for Italian universities, certificates, and Linguaviva’s exam fee. The aim of the course is to increase student confidence in using Italian, consolidating language knowledge and fluency. All four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking are developed. Classes are lively and stimulating. Students are provided with useful vocabulary and relevant grammar presented in a range of topical contexts. Each level can be completed in 4 weeks. At the end of each course after successful completion of a test students will progress to the next level.
