Reviews by former students who attended a Italian & Culture course in Rome
Excellent location. Dynamic and friendly teacher. Nice mixture of teaching methods. Nice mixture of ages in the class. Good text book.
I’m not sure it has been very well thought out about fitting in students who are only there for a short period.
The school badly needs a room where students can study especially as the teaching day is so short.

Course: Italy Today - Language and Culture Course - 1 week

I learned a lot about the political and artistic history of Rome.
My only interaction with the school was through the teacher during class.

Course: Rome for 50+ - 2 weeks
Student age: 50 years
Good teachers with pleasant teaching style, in which you are maximally encouraged to speak the new language yourself. The school is located in a nice building with ample outdoor space with terraces. The 50 plus programme is great fun
At the club you can get good coffee and lunch inexpensively

Our instructor Monika was excellent. Excellent location in the heart of the historic district of Rome.
Ask for Monika if you are doing private lessons or 2-for-1 private lessons for couples.

Course: La Dolce Vita 50+ Course - 3 weeks
Student age: 68 years
Combination of language education and cultural program (Dolce Vita). Teachers were motivated and played well into the level of the class. Most of the guides who accompanied us to the events in the D.V. program were excellent, especially Monika who deserves credit for her role.
The school is too lenient on people who are late in class and (even) eat/drink in class. A much more stricter policy on those issues should be implemented (distracts from class). And cutting the line at the coffee machine (why is there only one?) is unacceptable (even when one is from France).
On occasion, somebody from the office broke into class and did a roll-call. In my view, bizzare (what is the purpose?) and a significant distraction. It interrupts class and the teacher and students need time afterwards to get back into the subject.
Communication on aspects of the Dolce Vita program can be better. No notification was given beforehand that we would require to buy bus tickets (not all transportation was included) and when we went to Viterbo and made an artifact, we were not informed when these would arrive at school. Only after we asked questions ourselves, did we get answers (but never from the office...). And they did arrive, but only on the last day (just in time, yes).

Multiple school locations in some great locations, good teaching, flexibility and activities.
Each school location has different teaching materials and facilities, but they are not bad.

location
The first day registration took too long and severely impacted on the already limited time for classes. Also beginners and students with some previous knowledge were mixed in my class which was not what I had wanted or expected.
