Reviews by former students who attended a Senior (50 plus) course in Rome

Dilit International House

The atmosphere, the groups, the teachers, basically everything.
Nice to know ahead of time what the activities are and when.

Dilit International House

Good teachers with pleasant teaching style, in which you are maximally encouraged to speak the new language yourself. The school is located in a nice building with ample outdoor space with terraces. The 50 plus programme is great fun
At the club you can get good coffee and lunch inexpensively

Scuola Leonardo da Vinci

Our instructor Monika was excellent. Excellent location in the heart of the historic district of Rome.
Ask for Monika if you are doing private lessons or 2-for-1 private lessons for couples.

Scuola Leonardo da Vinci

Combination of language education and cultural program (Dolce Vita). Teachers were motivated and played well into the level of the class. Most of the guides who accompanied us to the events in the D.V. program were excellent, especially Monika who deserves credit for her role.
The school is too lenient on people who are late in class and (even) eat/drink in class. A much more stricter policy on those issues should be implemented (distracts from class). And cutting the line at the coffee machine (why is there only one?) is unacceptable (even when one is from France). On occasion, somebody from the office broke into class and did a roll-call. In my view, bizzare (what is the purpose?) and a significant distraction. It interrupts class and the teacher and students need time afterwards to get back into the subject. Communication on aspects of the Dolce Vita program can be better. No notification was given beforehand that we would require to buy bus tickets (not all transportation was included) and when we went to Viterbo and made an artifact, we were not informed when these would arrive at school. Only after we asked questions ourselves, did we get answers (but never from the office...). And they did arrive, but only on the last day (just in time, yes).

Dilit International House

Possibility for language practice in social settings with both professors and other students outside of the structured classes.
The professors and administrators are great--have so much passion for solid teaching and their students' learning experience.

location
The first day registration took too long and severely impacted on the already limited time for classes. Also beginners and students with some previous knowledge were mixed in my class which was not what I had wanted or expected.
