Reviews by former students who attended a Spanish & Culture course in Salamanca
All the teachers were enthusiastic and very helpful. I feel that I made a good progress in relatively short time.

Course: Intensive 25 - 1 week

The school is based in an old monastery. Super cute but because of that classrooms are on the small side. Teachers were really friendly, fun, knowledgeable and helpful.
I really think that everyone at Don Quijote had the best intentions to make the classes fun, enjoyable as well as informative. But because DQ has such a big reputation, I would have liked classes to be more balanced because of the reasons I’ve mentioned above. The difference between conversation classes and semi-private classes should be more obvious. Semi-private classes should be utilised as classes where students can ask about certain subjects they wanna know more about.

Fantastic teachers, interesting classes. The lessons lasted exactly 55 minutes without any delay. Time used to maximum
I have no comparison, because this is my first course, but it was perfect. I've heard a lot of good things about this school and I fully agree with them. Not to mention Salamanca itself - adorable! The only thing that did not suit me was the accommodation - a dark interior apartment with smokers. If I ever come back here, I'll look for something myself.

Multicultural, there were students from many different countries / continents.
Simply great. Amazing experience. I go back if I can.

Quality of instruction
Poor communication with student before class started. I didn't receive a single email from the actual school coordinator before arriving in Salamanca.

Course: Premium 25 - 2 weeks
Student age: 30 years
Meeting with other students and the kindness and enthusiasm of some teachers (not all and not the director!)
Please specify more clearly that in the student residence you can't access to the kitchen, the dinners are offered in a time slot of 45 minutes, that a deposit of 150 euros in cash must be paid and that one must not be shocked if the welcoming is very poor but it does not prevent that at the end of the stay we have enjoyed and forgotten this detail. It is necessary to warn beginners that there is not a beginner class every week .. And for the groups of 8 to 10 max. I found myself in a group of 13 for 1 week..

I really liked all of my teachers. And the subjects were really interesting. If you can take Traditions of Spain with Teresa.
26 December 2011
Course: Hispanic Studies - Autumn Course - 11 weeks
Student age: 26 years
I liked the method of teaching very much... the teachers encouraged us to speak and the grammar was used to back it all up.
I was lucky to be in classes with 4-7 students which gave it all a cool and intimate environment. Though at the end of September the amount of students decreased very much which made it more difficult to find a group that suited my level, but either way I was very happy with what I learned.

good method, good teachers
Not enough discipline from some teachers. Not enough work from some students.

The flat I lived in has a perfect location, very close to school BUT the schedule of a time when the heating system was ON was very strange, only 6-8 pm while the outside temperature in the morning was about 0 Degree... All the time I felt terribly cold.

Class size, teacher and course contents.
It took 20 minutes at a brisk walking pace and 25-30 minutes with a normal pace to go to school from my host family. My accommodation was located more far than other students. However, as the host family was kind and friendly, I could stay very comfortably. Due to the fun environment of a class, I could improve the language only for two weeks much more than I expected. It's safe and inexpensive in Salamanca and I want to go back there sometime.

If you are choosing shared flat as accommodation, be careful about double or single room. There is a difference. I recommend "SINGLE ROOM".
