Positive aspects of school

Great teachers, lively lessons, I felt comfortable and learned a lot. Via the school's web platform, you can learn independently before your stay and afterwards. If necessary, there are extra classes with a higher average age.

Negative aspects

The additional module "English in the city" was not what I had imagined. It was simply additional lessons, the name "in the city" suggests otherwise. I was used to lessons in the morning and free time in the afternoon from other language study trips. At EC English, you have at least two days off a week in the morning and lessons in the afternoon. This is unfavourable both in terms of concentration and the rest of the day. There are too few toilets in the school.

When the window was open, it was very loud because of the traffic.

London is the best destination to learn English for me. In this place we can find all what we need: history, multiculture, the greatest theatres, galleries, museums, good entertainment and many beautiful places.

I came to unlock my English rather than learning. It is done.

Other comments

the accommodation would have been fine if the management was able to say for themselves that the choice of these light awnings are not good in the east facade. I was up every morning before 6 am, without being able to go back to sleep in full sun. Just say "we made a mistake, we will find another type of stores".

The school has various activities not only study but outside of the class. Lessons were interactive.

I liked that the students were from many countries and various working backgrounds. It was a good opportunity to meet interesting people over the age of 30.

Two areas for improvement: - courses organisation: group formation and coordination between teachers to better set the objectives and identify the skills to be acquired; - Coordination between the residence and the school regarding the allocation of rooms and household issues.

I liked very much the academic level of the teachers, as well as the school's location and facilities.

The student joins a syllabus that is already prepared for the current year. So, it is not a school that pays special attention to the intensive course in the summer.

Other comments

I did not like that our teachers changed constantly. In 10 days, we only had the same teacher twice. I found the school crowded with people, 150 students during my stay, and thus it is very difficult to have a close relationship with other students.
