Additional information
Positive aspects of school
The schedule is very flexible, you can change your class very easily. They have a cafe in the building so it's very convenient. Some teachers are really good at teaching and explaining. Shout out to María, the best teacher I met this time.
Negative aspects
The school has activities every day but it's not free and sometimes there's not enough people so need to be cancelled.
City/place
I love Valencia! Food are pretty affordable compared to most countries in Europe. Valencia is a very flat city which I really like. I heard that it barely rain but while I was there, it's raining half of the time. Public transportation are cheap and convenient, but you can also walk to many places. It's not very big and bustling. It's very relaxing and I enjoyed my time there.
Accommodation
I was hoping to have dinner with the host family and practice Spanish. However, the family don't eat with us so I ended up using English to talk with another student in the house all the time. Breakfast is too simple for me, toast and jam every day... I heard my friend had bocadillo and cheese for breakfast so I think it's depends on family though.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Book an accommodation yourself.
Other comments
Please help the students better with the accommodation. In my apartment, many people left after a week because it was so disappointing.
City/place
I've never felt safe in a city myself (even at night). Lots to do and most sights / restaurants are not expensive, unless of course you go to the tourist squares such as Plaza Reina or Plaza Virgin.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Teachers are really great and you learn a lot and at a good pace.
Accommodation
Accommodation is not very good. John did not have WiFi in his room, this would be arranged, but never arranged. When we arrived the shower was completely green dirt. Fortunately, this has been cleaned. John also had a slumped bed: John got a new mattress, but it was very gross.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
At my request to change to a higher level, I was immediately placed in another course. The teachers were very committed, gave varied lessons and explained very well.
Other comments
Communication between students and school was poor. We were assigned a room on the first day, nothing more was explained. It was not said which language level the course had, what the procedure is (change of teacher, structure of lessons, e.g. grammar, conversation, change of room, ...) we were not told that we had to change rooms in between, what you could see into the computer at one in the entrance area. However, no reference was made to this either. Since there were only words in my course that had lived in Valencia for a long time, they naturally knew their way around. A few pointers in advance would have made the whole thing easier. Since I was in various other language schools in Spain, where things went much better, I noticed this disadvantage in particular. Nonetheless, the lessons were very good.
Accommodation
There was no shared private bathroom as the bathroom was only accessible through another room. Also, this bathroom didn't have a door!

The teachers were nice, but some of them were very unstructured. Some did not manage to slow down the previous speakers and to motivate the quiet ones to speak. Nice atmosphere but not very effective. Sometimes coupling of subjects with both teachers to the organization and the quality of the teacher the school should work

Positive aspects of school
The main building has a rustic look and feel to it. Its got a nice culture and very inviting. The style of teaching is easy to pick up. And my teacher was the best!
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Always go for after school activities and intercambio to make friends as fast as possible. If you're going alone like I did, don't expect to make friends by the first few days. Everyone is on learning mode but I'm almost certain you'll be a part of something by Friday!
Other comments
Thanks so much for one of the best months of my life!
City/place
I love Valencia, period.
Quality of teaching / language progress
I absolutely enjoyed myself thoroughly and learned so much in the month that I spent here. Andrea is the best teacher ever! Although I am not as fluent as I hoped to be, its really about the will of the student and the timing. I believe that with a little more time and consistency I can get so much better. Hispania attracts and creates a certain energy which I love! I made so many friends from all over the world. Best month ever!
Accommodation
It's a great house which I shared with 4 other people. I love the barrio of Benimaclet. It's not as expensive as being in the centre and it feels very local. I only wish that they would send a cleaner in more regularly. I think in the month I was there the common toilets and areas were only cleaned once.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
In courses not dedicated to DELE, much space is given to the conversation and the lessons are not the classic frontal lessons. In my case it was exactly what I wanted, but others may need a more specific course.

The website doesn't say that 90% of students are Chinese, another 5% are from other Asian countries. But these are completely different languages! It's much harder for them to study than for the Europeans, which, given their number, significantly slows down the learning process:-(

Positive aspects of school
Classes were available to view online each day. The classrooms were quite nice in both buildings, the class sizes were relatively small, the communication was great from Jordi and the front desk assistance was good.
Other comments
I think the teacher quality was varied. I had three different teachers during the week. The first day, I was in a class that was too low for me and the teacher wasn't very good at picking up on and discussing the possibilities with students of clearly varied levels. I pretty much wasted the first day. Teachers overall were good in the next level I was placed in, but were unable to manage the mixed nationalities effectively; ie, a majority of Chinese and two to three Westerners. It was difficult to get the wifi to work in my classroom in the second building.

Positive aspects of school
Great teachers - all very enthusiastic and accommodating. School is flexible on students deciding in taking classes in the morning/afternoon or cancelling days.
Other comments
It would be good to give students a bit more information about the school in advance - e.g. Timing of classes on first day, ability to alter their schedule. Some of the evening activities organised by the school could have been better.

Positive aspects of school
The location is amazing!! The balcony on the top of the main building is really good!!! Alicia was a great teacher and I enjoyed her class!!!!
Negative aspects
I didn't like the fact that there wasn't a book and that we didn't have homework to practice at home.
Other comments
I was just in the secondary building. The wifi wasn't working very well!! The computers in the main building were set up in Russian and I had problems using them because I couldn't understand Russian.

I really liked the teachers who filled us with a positive and good mood. I was very afraid that it would be difficult for me, but in the lessons everything was clear and accessible. Many thanks to Veronica, Angel and Irene for their patience and work!
Other comments
I studied at the school for only 2 weeks and it was a very short time. It is necessary to go at least for 1-3 months, and 6 months would be better.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
They do not provide new vocabulary so that the students can use it in their conversation later. So, you should prepare your own vocabulary in advance.
Other comments
The students in the group changed all the time - people came and went, so it was less comfortable to study under such conditions.

The teachers are just very nice. I don't know if it's the best way to learn Spanish, but it is a good way to get to know other people. Every class (which is two hours) has grammar and talking. When you are there for a longer period, you start doing the same grammar. Which might be good if you don't understand it, but I love grammar and was bored by having it twice or more times. But when you ask for a change, they try to arrange it. I had four weeks of four hours. For me the fourth hour was too much. It is 4 hours of concentration and that doesn't work. The apartment I stayed in was very sober. I had a very small bedroom which I changed when one of my roommates left. There are better apartments. They mix boys and girls. For me not a problem, but just that you know.
