Positive aspects of school
I have dealt with 3 different teachers: Isabel, Pedro and Maria. All very enthusiastic, spontaneous, cordial. Have a lot of patience and try to make things clear in every way. They also speak excellent English, sometimes it was easy to answer my question if I didn't know it in Spanish. They also know how to challenge you to not only listen, but also to talk yourself, regardless of your level.
Negative aspects
No afternoon activities or excursions.
City/place
I'm not going to fill this in because the school and host family are 20 bus minutes away from Malaga. Malaga itself, a nice city and lots to do. Good bus connection with La Cala del Moral. But in January La Cala is not a nice village: restaurants and bars closed due to holidays. I didn't like it. I was there alone and it was not nice that there was nothing to do. The village further away Rincon de la Victoria is much livelier. But that was a 45-minute walk from the host family (and back again). So after lunch, sometimes until 4 p.m., that was not an option because it was dark early and often cold. As a result, you rarely take the bus to Malaga. Just practically with the school (900 to 1200 and meal time, 1430 to 1600) difficult to implement. Still, I would like to come back here, but in February or March.

Accommodation
Lourdes and MariJose tried very hard to have a chat during the meal and sometimes the meal took up to 2 hours. We didn't always eat together, but there was always one of them to eat and chat with. If I wasn't home for lunch, my food was put in the refrigerator and I could heat it up in the microwave. I had my own space in the basement, with lounge, kitchen, bathroom, washing machine and bedroom. And its own back door. Room is cold and dark at this time of year, but I had a heater. Probably a wonderful space in summer when it is more than 25 degrees outside.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Good, competent and nice teachers and a very nice location by the beach.
Negative aspects
The classrooms were good but maybe not the best I have seen. However, it does not detract from the teaching quality.
Other comments
Very nice school, would highly recommend.
City/place
Very beautiful city that is easy to get around in. There are very beautiful landmarks to visit and a number of interesting museums. Public transport is above expectations, although it can be a little difficult to understand the system if you do not speak Spanish. Overall, the city is pretty clean, but if you go into secluded alley watch your step: people don't pick up after their dogs. Would definitely recommend Malaga.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Good education and even though there was a bank holiday the week I had my course and I only got 4 days, I felt like I learned a lot.
Accommodation
Well taken care of by a very nice family within a short distance from the school. Good accommodation and I am very happy.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
The friendliness and patience of the teachers, the location by the sea.
Other comments
It would be nice if the school had flyers for opportunities to spend free time in La Cala del Moral, e.g. guided hikes, visits to various Cuevas, sporting and cultural activities (concerts) etc.
City/place
Malaga center - very nice, great restaurants and beautiful architecture of the houses, a lot to discover, interesting museums. Pleasant atmosphere.
Quality of teaching / language progress
At times, the requirements were too high for me, and the basic knowledge of the other students was very different. This is not a criticism, but a personal assessment.

La Cala del Moral is very beautiful. We didn't want to have any night life, so I don't have opinion about it. The house where we lived was peaceful, and that's the most important thing for me. For me the nights are for sleeping.
Quality of teaching / language progress
I liked especially the private lessons, which prepared me for the SIELE exam. There wasn't any afternoon activities for us. Perhaps they are for bigger groups, I was there with mys husband. But I didn't miss any activities either, we found our own activities.
