This course is ideal for those students that are looking for a more intense language immersion.
El Rincón del Tándem offers an Intensive course of 20 hours per week, consisting of 3 hours of general Spanish and 1 hour of Hispanic culture. During the course, students will develop both linguistic and cultural skills, getting a more fulfilling experience. Lessons are designed to reach the main objective: improving communicative ad writing skills and appreciating aspects of the culture, like art, cinema, fashion, music, etc.

Special note for 2024 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2024 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2023 many schools were fully booked during the holidays, and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2024 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.

This course is held 3 times a week for 2 hours a day.

This course consists of a more limited number of hours and is suitable for people who want to attend at least 3 Spanish lessons per week, thus combining them with part-time jobs or other studies. Students will learn Spanish grammar according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR); the learning process comprises writing, listening and speaking exercises. The objective of the classes will be enhancing the four language skills: writing, speaking, reading and listening. Students will learn grammar and vocabulary in an enjoyable way, through activities adapted to all levels.

"Because of my special need diet I chose to eat out every day, and did not eat with the family. The two times I ate the home made meal, the food was very good. The location was very nice, quieter part of town, close enough to the Turia park and the Museo de las Ciencias. A little walk to the school, it took about 30 minutes, but the bus stop is just few meters from a bus stop if you would rather do that. The building, apartment were very nice and clean. Family very friendly and quiet. "

"I stayed the host family house included breakfast and dinner. But I usually ate dinner and breakfast alone and the food was not delicious to me. The more issue was that the night was very cold and the blanket was not clean so I wanted to change it. After that, they changed to me but it was not good enough heating inside room. there is no eletronic heat so I caught a cold now. So I didn't want to stay at house so during the staying, I stayed other accommodation to avoid freezing the room. However, the host family had weird looking to me that why I came back home in the morning that not had a sleep in the room. I really wasn't stayed in Valencia any more that I planed there at least 2 weeks because there are a lot of bad memory to me."

“Very friendly, the teachers were very good. Strong focus on talking, using learned structures and verb tenses, not going too fast. But the school is small, so I'm not sure that they can manage to hold many classes of different grades simultaneously.”
